The transfer of Cata to Getafe is close to being completed. The #s are not as high as Boca wanted at the time, US$8 million, since Cata does not have a EU passport.
Boca invested US$4.5 million when they bought him from Colon. The investment will be recovered and a few $$ will be earned. But the most important thing is that Cata also wants to try himself in Europe, specially now that he is at a career high. His salary would be much higher and also would re-join with Pato Abbondanzieri, team mate of so many titles under Basile.
Most probably Boca will hold on to a % of Cata for a future transer within Europe.
Who could come to replace him or complete the defense? Angelieri was someone Boca wanted but estudiantes refused to sell him. Schiavi is close to Newells but waiting to sign in case Boca needs him. We'll see what happens.
