Japan 3 Scotland 1
Nigeria 1 Costa Rica 0

Can't remember who got the goals in the first game as I was trying to get a ticket issue sorted out. Brown scored for Nigeria in the 75th minute.

Had a streaker on the field for the second game a few minutes before Nigeria's goal.

looks like this would be a group decided when Nigeria plays Japan. Both of these teams looked absolutely dominant. Nigeria should have had more goals, and at times they showed a lack of focus which could cost them against a better team, and it almost cost them against CRC. As for scotland, how did they qualify, and from Europe no less. I hate Espn 360, Please FIFA Make ESPN show games on a real channel, I would even take espn deportes which no one in america has. either that, or stop blocking americans from watching fifa tv.

I think Japan will have a tough time with Nigeria so they will need to get a result against Costa Rica.

lol when was I whining.

did you even see Scotland - Japan? First goal, Scottish Defender makes an error, and the Scottish GK kicks it right into the path of Morishima.

Second goal was great.

Third Goal was a farce. I mean, this Goalkeeper's gotta learn how to tip balls over the net. Then he falls like he shat himself :D

yes, we completely owned them both on the final scoreline and the stats. so stop whinning if you can add nothing positive about our win and cry in a dark room because your weak team can't yet win a single match.

This Group is easy. :o

No Group is easy, what are you talking about? Nigeria made it to the final last tournament and Scotland are runners up from UEFA tournament and Costa Rica did well in their regional tournament tying Mexico.

Japan had against Scotland more chance to shot goals. But okay then help the Scottish golie and the defender.

Is Nigeria a dirty team?

I mean...every time the Scots had the ball the Nigerians came flying right in kicking away at the feet of the Tartan Army.

I thought Scotland played well, but no wonder they couldn't get anything going when the opposition is allowed to get away with foot stomping all game.

What on God's planet are you talking about? Scotland commited more fouls on Nigeria than vice versa. Scotland was poor in the tournament. Period!

good one. so now referees favour African sides against European teams. Dude, Scotland got owned on the field, both by Japan and Nigeria. I expect Costa Rica to complete the sweep.

And I don't buy Archie Gimmel's excuse that the team didn't have time together. Nigeria are the masters of disorganization... spent less time together, played no friendlies and still thumped the European runners-up.
