Wow! TSN once again disappoint me.
And who should they have given it to....remember europe is mostly on holidays and the Yanks came from behind to win the Gold Cup. They also won every game in this tournament gaining the most possible points. I am pissed as anyone that they beat Canada but if the ref only gave 3 mins stoppage time, that blown call wouldn't have happened and the US would have won anyways.
So tell me....who should have won the award if you are disappointed that they gave it to the US Nats?

Well the Feilhaber shot was outstanding but it's not like the USA looked dominant over most of its opponents in this competition. The team of the week could have gone to Martinique for it's unlikely run or Canada for finishing 1ST (for the very first time) in their group and demolishing Guatemala, all the while playing with style unseen by any Cdn men's team to date.

How about Holland's U21 European Championship winning team that un-disputedly demolished Serbia in the finals?

Well you bring up a good point with Holland U21. Although with the losses the other teams suffered this week, I don't know how you can give them this recognition. I'm sure the result is going to be larger then the intangeables (sp?) of team play, meaning if the US lost, guarenteed they wouldn't have been recognized...and I believe Holland would have taken it...
What the hell do I know though? Its a stupid award from a station that never broadcasts soccer.

TSN had nothing to do with this article, they simply picked it up off the wire. It is an Asscoiated Press story :confused:
