Hammers' Tevez keen on switch to Inter Milan

West Ham striker Carlos Tevez admits there is a strong possibility he will move to Inter Milan this summer.
The Argentinian international, who is currently preparing for the Copa America with his country, moved to Upton Park from Brazilian side Corinthians at the start of last term along with international team-mate Javier Mascherano.

In a season marred by controversy over the legality of the duo's transfer, 23-year-old Tevez ended on a high by scoring crucial goals to preserve the Hammers' top-flight status - in the process attracting the attention of a host of top clubs.

Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been linked with a move for Tevez, but the South American favours a switch to Italy.

'Inter is a great club,' Tevez told Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport.

'There is a true possibility that I will wear the Nerazzurri colours next season.

'It's also true that Real Madrid are interested in my services but my agent knows exactly how I feel about it - better Inter than Real.'

Speculation that Tevez would leave West Ham increased after he preserved the club's Premiership status by hitting the winning goal against Manchester United on the final day of last season.

And the player admits that his fine end-of-season form came as no surprise, revealing that he felt at home in the claret and blue shirt.

'I didn't have problems adapting at West Ham,' Tevez continued.

'I didn't speak English but nevertheless I made myself understood on the pitch.'

Despite his claim that the language barrier did not hamper his start to life in England, Tevez admits playing alongside compatriots Hernan Crespo, Julio Cruz and Javier Zanetti at the San Siro would make for a smooth transition to life in Serie A.

'Inter's team is like an Argentina colony,' he added.

'I wouldn't have language issues at Inter.'

WAKE UP FANS!! ur club is no way near top 6, no chance of getting top 6. why would a class player like tevez want to stay in west ham, he needs to move to a MUCH MUCH bigger club like liverpool or inter, to prove he is a WORLD CLASS player, not a player that belongs to a relegation fighting club. HAHAHA

My guess is you are a 16 year old kid, who play suburban youth soccer for the last 10 years. You think you are good at playing and you probably are, but you are not good enough to be a pro one day. During your travels with your family, you know mom, dad and sister, you heard about Liverpool and european soccer. You read about them on the internet, you post on the Liverpool fan boards, you wish you lived in england so you culd be in one of the Firms as some sort of hooligan. You feel you are a hardcore fan.

You are not.

You are just a little idiot who thinks he is being clever when you are not.

Now, I invite you down to Brooklyn ( when you are old enough to get your Learners Permit) and I will have my sister kick your sissy ass.

Do not be dumb enough to respond.

Really educational stuff LFC, thanks for that.

The fact that you refer to West Ham as being a small club shows just how little you know about us and English football in general. Our history speaks for itself and your clear lack of knowledge in that area shows just how young and naive you are.

The Liverpool team could learn alot about sportsmanship from West Ham.

Tevez may leave the Hammers, he may not. But you can carve it in stone, he's not going to Liverpool. Now bugger off.

let's respond to the article and not to the child. I'm not sure if this kid even saw last year's FA Cup final.

Yes, sure.

West Ham has a history of selling their best players and consequently being relegated for it, and few trophies they have won. Big club?? sure, you guys havent even won the champions cup!!!

There, you see. You've just proved that you know very little; so a few facts for you kid.

1. Wembley stadium is the world center of football. Outside that stadium stands a bronze statue of a footballer. I won't bore you with the details, but he was a West Ham player and captain of his team and country.

2. West Ham is the acadamy of football. Everyone knows that.

3. They have produced more England players since the end of WW2 than any other team.

4. The team that was relegated was full of internationals. Yes I know they went down, but it was not because they sold their players. That happened after they went down. A few examples.....Joe Cole, Michael Carrick, Jermain de Foe, David James, Paulo di Canio, Trevor Sinclair and the young Johnson.

5. Other ex Hammers include Lampard and Ferdinand...I could go on, but I'll let you tell me which players Liverpool have produced. Not bought, but produced.

6. West Ham are now a rich club. They have a bigger transfer budget than Arsenal and Liverpool. In fact only Manchester Utd and Chelsea can compete with their spending power.

7. They have a bigger fan base than Chelsea and are on the way up. I have a feeling that Liverpool have peaked and will not challenge again for the title for some time. I hope I'm wrong, because I like the scousers and always had a great time at Anfield.

8. One of th best fullbacks in the PL is Lucas Neill. He was wanted by Liverpool and West Ham..........He chose....Go on, guess....Well, it wasn't Liverpool.

This is really not the site for WUMs son. Try 606, or WHO, if you want a row. Good luck next season.............and watch your back. The Hammers are coming. :D

LFCFAN07 you are a knob head. ******** off, and steal some hubcaps. Did you enjoy getting slaughtered in the UEFA champions league final? Your team is overated, and you will never be the title winners again. In fact, you will slowly drop into the top 12. You are a ******** head, a ********, and I hope I get the pleasure of watching you screw up your next final

Fair enough, you got your points i agree with. But also there are points, you are simply hiding behind the truth. I agree west ham produced many english players so what?? who currently remains at west ham except for anton and dean ashton, reo coker who are the only recognisable names but still they are mediocre.

6. West Ham are now a rich club. They have a bigger transfer budget than Arsenal and Liverpool. In fact only Manchester Utd and Chelsea can compete with their spending power.
hahaha, that egg head is worth so much is he now.... sure.

oh please... liverpool is up and up. who is west ham attracting? *average players* who are we attracting, i can give you a whole list, everyone likes to play for us. 2 finals in 3 seasons in champions league... enuff right?

8. One of th best fullbacks in the PL is Lucas Neill. He was wanted by Liverpool and West Ham..........He chose....Go on, guess....Well, it wasn't Liverpool.
oh please..... yes liverpool was interested, not to the point we went knocking down his door like west ham. and yes we offered him a contract, but he proved to himself he is loyal only to money.
