Not sure how many wrestling fans there are on here, but

Not too many details yet. Strange story. It's too bad. He was one hell of a performer.

I wonder if it's as real as Vince McMahon's death:p
It's sad, but there's something not right here.

This is for real. The sad thing is tonight was apparently supposed to be Vince's fake memorial. Now they are having a real one for Benoit.

At least WWE did the right thing by ending the Vince storyline.
RIP Chris, Nancy, and son. :(

From WWE.Com -- "It has been ruled that the deaths of Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and their son Daniel earlier today were the result of a double murder-suicide from within the home. WWE.com will have more as soon as it becomes available."
what a stomach punch. :(

This sucks. He was a great wrestler. Loved his matches with Kurt Angle. What a shame. Now the Vince McMahon storyline looks more and more tasteless by the minute (no surprise there, though)
On a side note, RIP Sensational Sherri.

if you are calling him the coward, do you really know it was he who killed? it is possible it was his wife... sure you can argue it probably was him, but how about we all reserve judging till we know who did what...
shoot it coulda even been his kid... at 7yo it is highly unlikely but it is possible.
sorry to sort of shout, "pre-judging" is just one of my pet-peeves :o

doh! i knew there was something wrong with that sentence :o I blame it on coming into work early for a "team meeting" aka pointless getting up early... :D i'm gonna have to edit that now :-)
yeah it is a shame. I watched wrestling on occasion (first roommate in college and her BF were big wrestling and simpsons fans... they pretty much got me watching both... now i barely watch tv but on occasion see these shows) and he seemed to be an entertaining player... more so than others on the show.

I haven't watched since last summer (went to Summerslam) but back when I watched a lot when the three companies were separate, he was always a good wrestler to watch...really sad to hear about this

just saw an updated news report stating that they are investigating it being he who killed his wife and kids, so if that is the case i agree on the statement. i hadn't heard any of that when i wrote earlier. :)

This is a real tragedy. He was one of my favorite entertainers for a long time. I'm not gonna judge on what happened, but it must have been the result of something pretty seriously wrong somewhere.
And to Drewww, I thought I was the only freaking OLP fan around!

It's too bad someone died. Always ...
But if he killed his wife and son, well then as usual, he took the dumb way out.
Anyone who wants to kill a few people and commit suicide ... please kill yourself first.

Agreed.
I can only feel sorry for his child.
