Explain how my argument is wrong.That statement was incorrect but was made as i said to get reaction and continuing the discussion which i reffered to in my "tool" comment.
Your original post seems to have come out of the blue (after two days of no posting in this thread) and it doesn't look like there is any reference to you before that post. The post/claim I was responding to is:
I dont understan how a team like HOlland are ALWAYS FAVOURITES they have never won ANYTHING EVER EVER EVER.Spain Holland and Englnd should have their "Favourites" card revoked until they win something.
The argument that a team has to "win something" before they can be considered Favorites is wrong on it's face. Some examples of favorites that made it to the final game before they "won something":

Brazil 1950
Hungary 1954
England 1966
Argentina 1978
Holland 1978
France 1984
Holland 1988
Portugal 2004

If we use your definition that you need to have won something in the last ten years we can add:

Italy 2006
France 1998
Brazil 1994
That's 3 of the last 4 WC champions. All started the WC as one of the favorites, all won and none won the WC or the Euro in the previous 10 years.

It is clear that in your original post, both statements are factuality wrong
