All of Guatemaula should be most proud of the job done by
Batres and his crew; for the first time in WarnerCo history,
we now have a go-to World-Class-Calibre guy to run the
middle for all future US-Mexico games. This will do more
for the Mexico-US rivalry than any results one way or
the other, because El Tri respects Batres and yesterday
for the first time in forever El Tri had to play the US straight
up.

Batres = WarnerCo's version of Pierluigi Collina, the man
no one f*'s with, no matter how big/massive their head or
their paypacket.

WELL DONE Guatemaula, you should be proud....

he is a fair unbiased dude , repped the Concacaf in the WC 2002, and missed 2006 with health problems, wish we could have more classy folk like that in our soccer internationally, to many cocky players getting caught in the GFL hype, but when they get Outside they find out that Guatemala league is as good as the USL-1, but i digress , fair man , with lots if respect for the Game

Try to keep up.

Batres did the 2005 Gold Cup Final, too.
