I'm surprised that they don't mention "DeLujo Promociones" that is the company in charge of selling the tickets (Not Chavez)
If there was any wrong doing in the process of selling tickets "DeLujo" would be involved in it (helped the government) or they would know about (the government took tickets away from them)

According to this article, Chavez just siezed a bunch of tickets to prevent dissenters of his government to protest against him inside the stadiums...

But what's the point? they can always protest OUTSIDE and still be as effective...

Protests are outlawed during the Copa America, and generally most of the time anyway.

No ha sido suficiente ver cómo (por razones aun desconocidas o extrañas) gran cantidad de hinchas de nuestro fútbol nacional se quedan sin entradas y tendrán que ver el evento como si fuera en cualquier otro país, en su televisión.

La burla de DeLujo Promociones continúa y llega a su punto más crítico: faltan pocas horas para la inauguración de la Copa, y las entradas siguen sin estar en las manos de los afortunados que pudieron comprarlas.

Mientras escribo estas líneas (domingo 5 PM), estoy a 12 horas de partir a la ciudad de San Cristóbal y estoy más que conciente de que lo haré sin mi entrada para el partido inaugural. Lo peor del caso es que la respuesta de DeLujo ha sido la misma en los últimos días: ya las entradas fueron enviadas.

A estar alturas quieren quitarse la única responsabilidad que tenían, y echarle el peso a las compañías de envío que tendrán que buscar por toda Venezuela a decenas de miles de personas en una lucha contra el reloj. El propio Luis Muchacho admite que las entradas se enviaron a partir del día jueves.

Si un amplio porcentaje de las 42 mil entradas fueron compradas por Internet, y por ende son enviadas por correo, ¿cómo piensa él que podrán realizar todos los envíos en tan corto tiempo? ¿Acaso no entiende que la gente de todos los rincones del país tiene que viajar con antelación al estado Táchira?

¿Acaso en DeLujo Promociones no saben que no funciona que la entrada llegue el día del partido, ni siquiera el día anterior? ¿Qué pasa si un seguidor boliviano consiguió entradas para el partido y decidió venirse todo el fin de semana al país? ¿Qué pasa si a un venezolano común del estado Carabobo le dio la gana de irse con toda su familia a conocer San Cristóbal en estos días antes del partido?

¿Qué pasará, señor Luis Muchacho, si todas, gran parte o aunque sea una de las entradas le llegan demasiado tarde a su dueño? ¿Podremos entrar al estadio con el simple “recibo” de compra que aparece en la página de Internet? ¿Qué ocurrirá este martes en las afueras de Pueblo Nuevo? Por favor, ni se les ocurra pensar en política, porque lo que habrá ahí serán miles de fanáticos de fútbol, que reservaron y pagaron entradas para ver un espectáculo, al cual probablemente no podrán entrar.

Ya no es una larga y tediosa cola, o un proceso de bajísima calidad a través de Internet. Se trata de dinero invertido, de días de ausencia en la oficina, de trabajos adelantados en las aulas de clase, se trata de lo más importante que tiene el deporte: los fanáticos y su dignidad. Por favor cállense todos aquellos que vitorean que Venezuela podría ser sede de un Mundial de Fútbol, cuando ni siquiera la organización es capaz de repartir bien las entradas.

Pueden hablar maravillas de los estadios y de los jugadores que ya se entrenan en el país, pero ¿de qué sirve todo esto si el fanático no puede disfrutarlo? Hoy domingo a las 5 PM nadie, ningún conocido, familiar, persona en un foro o mi caso personal, ha dicho que ya le fue entregado el boleto que compró por Internet, y comunicarse con la empresa responsable es imposible. Por favor díganme, ¿qué hacemos?

Es increible como Chavez esta usando la Copa America para sus fines politicos! Dando el 80% de las entradas a sus seguidores para que nadie mas pueda entrar al estadio es triste no solo deportivamente pero socialmente. Solo porque en Venezuela no se respetan los derechos civiles de los ciudadanos, no significa que el resto del mundo tenga que vivir la misma situacion.

Oh please try protesting your government in the WH lawn... be sure to have someone that can post you bail...

Instead of protesting at the stadium they still have 99.99% of the country where they can whine about the government, heck there is going to be one in Caracas tomorrow.

Still I will say that this rumor is quite effective, 99.99% of the people do not have tickets, of those there is a bunch that could not get them, blame the government since this cannot disprove a negative and bam instant global propaganda.

When George Bush goes to any city, they put "designated areas" where people can protest.
Usually at least a block away from him.
