The goal from Scherz was pretty nice.

What division was the opposition from?

It was an All-Star selection from Pulheim, i think most of them play in the so called Kreisliga which is the 8th league - so nothing to be too excited about, but still it is nice to see the guys playing :D

I was going to guess 9th division ;)

FC Köln signs Nigerian Onyekachi Okonkwo (http://bundesliga.de/en/liga2/news/2006/index.php?f=65854.php&fla=3)

Unfortunately that player also signed a contract with FC Zurich in switzerland. The FIFA has to decide what happens now, in case both contracts are valid I am certain that the player will be banned for a couple of months. Anyways, Köln is not interested in this player anymore, because they dislike his characteristics (not sure if this word is correct, what I mean is they dislike the way Tico behaved (signing two contracts))

Also some good news... A video of the first day in the trainigscamp in Bitburg is available. Unfortunately I am not able to tell anything about the content, because I am currently at work ;)

This is the link (http://www.fc-koeln.de/video/bit1.wmv)

IMO the role attributed to Daum is exaggerated. I don't doubt his qualities, but it's not unreasonable to assume that we might have reached the same position in the table with Latour, who was a very likeable and upright character. It made me angry when he was sacked.

Our attendance stats are brilliant at least since we've got the new stadium. Old Müngersdorf was a nice stadium in its days, but didn't provide any atmosphere, and you almost had to use binoculars to see what was going on on the pitch. The atmosphere at Rheinenergie Stadium is really amazing, I guess even fans of other clubs would acknowledge that.

Maybe of interest to some of you:

That's the part I really liked in the article. Daum, well managers come and go, keeping your fans, that's the stuff.

Chants: That's a pretty funny site, the fact that they keep track of chants and the US only has one ;)

Probably one of the best matches last season was the Cup fight vs Schalke 04 - I found the four goals by the FC and you also can hear the fantastic fans.
I am moved to tears watching it :)

Those are pretty cool. What is the post goal song?

Video highlights from our 6:1 win today (http://www.fc-koeln.de/index.php?id=5795) I love the fans sitting on the hill watching the game.

Kessler (46. Paucken), Schöneberg (65. Schulz), McKenna (65. Parensen), Nickenig, Özat (65. Cullmann), Vucicevic (65. Grebe), Matip (46. André), Antar, Ehret (65. Zielinsky), Scherz (65. Laux), Novakovic

Song played after goals: "Hey kölle - do bes e jeföhl" (The Höhner again - though it's not like they were the only band played in the stadium)

The first goal of the game was scored by Milivoje Novakovic. In the 12th minute Antar increased the lead before Novakovic scored again - twice - and marked the 4:0 halftime score.
After the break, the SG Schneifel had reason for jubilations as Thomas Bell scored for the home team (50.). Nemanja Vucicevic (65.) and Marius Laux (71.) marked the final scoreline of 6:1.
The next test for the Daum side will be on Sunday against Eintracht Trier (5 pm, Moselstadion Trier).
