We have to get a point out of Freiburg, better to get 3, but at least a point.
Chihi and Nickenig not available for that mission. Scherz renewed his contract until 2009.

I am sure I am not the only one who does not have an account on the geissbockforum...
But I believe you are talking about this shirt
My opinion: It might be red, but it will not look exactly like that :p

Good job.
Yeah, that's the shirt. I think they just took a Liverpool shirt and prettied it up:)

Moving away from Adidas and going with Reebok?

Adidas bought Reebok.
I wasn't that impressed with this season's stuff, so I'm hoping we are the flag ship team for Reebok.
Heck I didn't like any of the gear so I made my own Longsleeve t-shirt.
Logo left chest and 1.FC Köln #10 on the back.

I must agree that this season's shirt is very disappointing, though I would have prefered to keep Adidas as our nominal supplier. If the picture really shows the new kit, Reebok have done a good job though. I just hope shorts and socks will be plain white - we're not the red devils after all! :D

Another frustrating game. Our defence was solid enough and we had a couple of good chances, but in the end that counts for nothing. It's a miracle we're still so close to third place.
The reporter on TV was quite right in pointing out that our midfield isn't exactly dangerous. If Helmes and Novakovic have a bad day, we're not very likely to score. Helmes should definitely have scored at least once tonight, in his current form I won't miss him much.

No goals from the midfield and are there stats of how many assists they have?

I cannot agree to what the announcer on DSF said. Ok, our midfielders didn't score so far, but as panicfc said it is important that they support the strikers and it looks like they are doing a good job there.
Also, Helmes and Nova had a lot of chances, but they didn't score this time... It's an old rule that if you need too many chances to score you will lose the match, we had 19 shots on the goal of Freiburg!
This list is taken from kicker.de :
Spieler Verein Punkte Tore Assists
Novakovic 1. FC Köln 22 17 5
Helmes 1. FC Köln 14 10 4
Chihi 1. FC Köln 9 4 5
Mohamad 1. FC Köln 6 4 2
Scherz 1. FC Köln 4 1 3
Antar 1. FC Köln 4 0 4
Ümit Özat 1. FC Köln 4 0 4
Vucicevic 1. FC Köln 4 0 4
McKenna 1. FC Köln 2 2 0
Broich 1. FC Köln 2 1 1
André 1. FC Köln 2 0 2
Gambino 1. FC Köln 1 0 1
A. Mitreski 1. FC Köln 1 0 1
Mondragon 1. FC Köln 1 0 1

Agree there. You guys had enough chances to score. You didn't and you paid for it.
It happens to everyone.......

Adidas bought Reebok.
And that is an impressive way to establish the Reebok brand here in Germany. I think it's a good move.
If Leverkusen finishes in the CL places at the end of the season, perhaps they should do it for them too.
I wasn't that impressed with this season's stuff, so I'm hoping we are the flag ship team for Reebok.
Could be. You guys have enough of a following no matter what league you're in next season.
Heck I didn't like any of the gear so I made my own Longsleeve t-shirt.

Even more impressive. ;)

Thanks for posting the stats, köllealaaf, but I’m not sure whether they really prove the quality of our midfield. Chihi obviously did more than alright, I wouldn’t have expected these figures to be honest! Well done. Mohamad isn’t a midfielder though. Scherz didn’t get so much playing time as others, and the fact that he still ranks above Antar, Vucicevic and Broich is rather telling. Are four assists in 24 games impressive?
Please don’t get me wrong, I like the players and I hope they might eventually do better for us, but so far I haven’t seen many games of us which gave me the impression that there was a plan or something behind our offensive moves.

Thanks for that stat report Köllealaaf. 4 assists isn't impressive when you consider playing time and goals scored. 27 goals from Nova and Helmes - and they have 9 assists.
I'm hoping Daum leaves sooner rather than later. There has to be a better way.

If BVB screws up tonight, he may get a call from Hans-Joachim Watzke.
But I don't think Daum is your problem. Failure to finish was the problem last night.
That's not on Daum.

I'm not talking just about last night. Of course its hard not getting to see a game, but the reports I read seem to question player selection, tactics, Hello Doll(y).

I don't see anything wrong with Daum's tactics. What I do see are players not executing the way they should.
That is perhaps Daum's fault.
As far as player selection, as far as I've seen, and I won't claim to follow Koln closely, everyone gets a chance.
But, perhaps this relationship just isn't to be.
Maybe you can't go home again.......

I think you have hit it on the head. Times have changed. It seems the players aren't responding to Daum as they should.

For me Daum is the reason that I can still hope for promotion. Obviously one can blame the inconsistency on the players or the trainer, but I am tired of the coaching carosel. I am not too discouraged about yesterday's game as my feeling is that if they put forth this type of effort, 9 of 10 times their finishing would not be so bad and they'd win. An improvement from some of the previous outings this ruckrunde.
