Icke Häßler was one of my favorite players from his times at KSC, the one season at BVB and at 1860 afterwards.

I hated that Skibbe picked on Icke to try to "establish" himself as a coach at BVB. I'm pretty sure that's most of what made the team quit on Skibbe.

Icke's situation was also a first clue for me that my club was run by idiots. By how they actually "gave" him to 1860......


I didn't follow Koln enough to remember him there....... :(

What is even worse is that I didn`t even make it to the Löwen game last week. Friday games suck!

This money however has despite the big expectations of the fans never really been reinvested into new stars and somehow just disappeared.

When Icke played for us I was still very young sowhen I hear the names Häsler and Köln I mostly think of all the urban legends about what happened to the "Häßler-Millionen" that were around back in the nineties.

;) So next time you are in Kölle go digging in the park, you might find the "Bernstein-Zimmer" or the "Rheingold" or at least the "Häßler-Millionen"

does anyone know if i can order items from the fc koln official site to Australia? I need to register to order, but the registration details only allow for 'deutschland' to be the country. The 'FanShop' section is not in english and my german is limited. They have this seasons home shirt reduced in price, i want one :mad:

We are right on course :) Another 3 important points, a great goal and hope for the next games. Just the fans need to learn to support their own team more in diffcult situations ;)

In my opinion 61 points should be enough for the promotion, my calculations are looking like this:

@Freiburg: 1 point
vs Wehen: 1 point
@Offenbach: 3 points
vs Gladbach: 1 point
@Paderborn: 3 points
vs Osnabrueck: 3 points
@Aue: 3 points (will be difficult enough, but we made it happen last season)
vs Hoppenheim: 1 point
@Augsburg: 3 points
vs Mainz: 0 points
@Lautern: 3 points.

We don't need to win over a direct competitor to get promoted and compared to the start of the season we are not any worse so far. Just remember that we made it under the first three on the last matchday in the first half of the season.

If we can celebrate a Victory on one or both of the next two matches it will be a little easier for us :)

60 points were enough last season ... and this time I expect even less points (57-60) to last for promotion!

But it's useless to start predicting all results now, since you can win & lose against every team. I'm thinking only from matchday to matchday...

You are right, the more that battle for pormotion the less points are needed. Anyways, I wanted to be on the save side with my 61 points prediction :)

Reason why I wrote them down was to show two things:
First of all the promotion is not lost if we draw on the next two matches and the second thing is that we don't have to win against a direct competitor (and I am sure everyone, especially the press, will cry out loud if we can't win over Freiburg or Wehen).
