I have searched the forum but have not found anyone with any mention of London. The game will be at 8 GMT tomorrow and I am desperately looking for a pub that will be showing it. Does anyone have any information? Thanks,

I was looking into this for another friend of mine, and there is supposedly a bar called the Sports Cafe (on Haymarket) that may be showing it... I'd look them up and give them a call.

Actually, the match kicks off at 1 pm CT in Chicago. In the summer months, Chicago is 5 hours behind London. In London, that's 6 pm GMT and your friend will miss the match if he tries to watch at 8 pm GMT.
Sports Cafe: 80 Haymarket, Manager: Mike Reed (Tel. 020 7839 8300). Here's a link to the 8 Sports Cafes in the UK: www.thesportscafe.net/locationslist.cfm Sunday nights, they broadcast American sports (NFL, NBA, etc.).
In the States, the game is on Univision (en mexicanol) and Fox Soccer Channel. It's doubtful, but FSC's big brother, Sky Sports, might broadcast it in the UK (doubt it!). However, al jazeera broadcast some Gold Cup matches. If the final is broadcasted, undoubtedly they will support those from south of the Big River (rio grande).
Worst case scenario, your friend and others can log on to a LIVE internet broadcast via GuangDong Sports (How's his Cantonese?). For those that don't live outside the States or travel abroad frequently, you have to download one of the Sopcast applications in advance (top of page): http://www.sopcast.com/channel/tvguide.jsp

Thanks for the update on the time. GMT is actually 5 hours ahead of EST, so 6 in front of Chicago. This makes it 7p in the UK. I am hoping we get some other ideas as The Sports Cafe is not listing the game on their website and they are listing Copa America. I will call tomorrow.

Again, Chicago is GMT-5 now and a Chicago 1 pm CST kickoff = London 6 pm/1800 GMT. Realistically, the game probably won't start until about 1:15 or 1:30 (6:15 or 6:30 in the UK). http://wwp.central-standard-time.com/

Beantown, you're definitely wrong. Chicago is 6 hours and the East Coast is 5 hours behind the UK. GC Final is at 7PM UK Time.
As for watching the game, I too am looking at a spot in London to catch the game. The Sports Cafe won't be showing the game. Does anyone know anything about these bars -

It appears as if these might be our only hope. Please post if you know of any options.
Cheers.

I am glad we have the time straight, though, I am certainly not above showing up an hour late for a match kickoff.
With regard to the game, I have established that the ONLY way to see it in the UK is on Al Jazeera 2, not even Al Jazeera 1. Which seems to be a problem. I am continuing the search, though. Anyone with information please post here! I will look at your bar list posted below:mad: .

Here is the answer--F3K (FamousThree Kings--http://www.sportspubs.co.uk/new_detail.php?pubscode=161) off West Kensington Tube. See you there! District line has closings this weekend so you may need to get off at Barons Court on the Picadilly Line and walk 10 minutes. Talk to Richard! Cheers!

Just double-checked the time, and ussoccer.com has kick-off listed as 2pm CT. Also checked my digital cable menu (I'm in Texas), and it says the pre-game show starts at 1:30 on FSC with the match to follow at 2.

Well what a game! I have established that Richard (manager) at Famous Three Kings will be showing all US Copa America matches live. So this is 2a GMT in most cases as I understand it. Hope to see all London based US supporters there. Patrick

We did end up pulling it down from an Italian feed so maybe AJ cancelled the programme at a late hour!
