I'm excited to be going tomorrow to the final at soliders field.

I'd like to tailgate. A few questions that I'd really appreciate help with:

1. Will the South Parking lot be open for parking for anyone? I understand that you need coupons or something for bears games, but am I right that anyone can park there for this?

2. How early can I (should I) get there to get a spot and have ample time to tailgate? If I get there very early, will it still be closed?

3. Is there a better alternative for tailgating?

Thanks for your help!!

We parked in the Waldron deck Thursday just south of the stadium. $30 but plenty of spots left an hour before the USA game. Might be a different story though with El Tri's supporters arriving earlier.

My best guess would be that they will open Waldron 4 hours before the game so at 10 am.

There is a website for parking that has the match listed, but doesn't say what time they will open. http://www.soldierfieldparking.com/Source/Default.aspx

Someone else posted that they called before the semis and were able to find out that the parking would be $30 and the opening time. So you might want to try that.

I'm going to arrive at noon and hope there will still be spots in Waldron, but think I might be stuck in the south surface lot. Based upon Thursday's experience, the Mexico fans that tailgate like to arrive really early.

what about other parking options? I'm coming from the south side, so I probably want to get closer to the stadium, but not to the point wherre I'm spending 30 bucks just to park on a sunday
