Can you tell I recently got Bowie tickets for a May 16th show? Somehow, I've only seen him once (and as long ago as The Glass Spider Tour), so I'm very ready.

Holy crap, I'm old. I last saw Bowie in October 1987. After that, he didn't come through New Orleans again until I moved to DC and I f'in missed the '97 and '02 shows in DC.

I just don't get what the big deal is with that album. I like a lot of it. There are some of the catchiest songs ever laid down on there, but a lot of it is just filler.

Any album that has 4 certifiable mega-hits released (with possibly one or two more on the way) can be considered a great album, even if their are a few filler songs (it is a double album anyways, so you're almost bound to have some fluff).
