I've just gotten Nuevo so I can't comment on it fully, I haven't listened to it all the way through, but I like what I've heard.

Tan Dun's "Ghost Opera" is amazing. If you like Tan Dun or most of what Kronos does, you will love it.

How'd you feel about this one? I've heard this is one of those 'seminal' albums, whatever that means.

I don't want to just go on and on about it, but it is pretty amazing. I had heard good things about it and picked it up a few weeks ago and have been playing it nonstop ever since. It isn't what I was expecting, but it is quite good. I would say it fits into the 'seminal' category of African pop music.

the Notwist Neon Golden. Had to shell out decent $$ for it as an import, but it was well worth it.

I rediscovered my Encore CD the other day after exchanging it for Doom Professor Doom cut which is highly underrated. Underground hip hop not for the masses.
