It's a crap story anyway. Competition is enshrined in the treaty of Rome. If the new "constitutional treaty" becomes just a treaty amendment as Blair says it will, rather than a replacement for the existing treaties, then you don't lose anything from the treaty of Rome.

If the competition issue had been removed from the constitutional treaty, and the treaty replaced the treaty of Rome (and all the subsequent treaties) then you would have a problem.

:D Fcuk off.

Nah, it's my reaction to coming on and seeing threads entitled "Rcky Hatton fight" and "Henry to Barcelona" (or whatever that ones called).

Call it a protest if you like, albeit a good natured one with humorous elements to it but in the end it just failed to be funny. It has absolutely nothing to do with United at all unless they're talking about work permits, I suppose.

Bah, nevermind. :o

Well, the Ricky Hatton thread is tangentally related to United because a few players will be at the fight. Really we should have a Summer Holiday Thread.

The Henry to Barcelona thread needed to be opened because there were only two other threads in which that important topic was being discussed.

Hairy Muff, especially on the second point. :) In a grouchy mood here after not much sleep.

Could we use this thread to quietly laugh at the scousers? Just checking RAWK to see what they think of the Henry transfer brings up gems like these:

well Torres as done 4 interviews that I have seen this year, in all of them he talks about Liverpool or Anfield and how he would love to play in England.

plus he as rejected man utd twice and chelsea once and then basicly called them a club who can only offer you money, you have to love him for that.
Yeah, United bid for him but he snubbed us

The funniest day of the season so far

Arsenal lose Henry and they plan to replace him with Bent,Kanoute or Martins

hahahha

This is ********ing hilarious

Wouldn't it be funny of Torres goes to Arsenal and the scousers end up with Martins :D

The Arsenal board is hilarious right now. There is one idiot I saw who was acting like it was the end of the world and the a page or so later was pleading for the fans to have some perspective. We have annoying posters in here, but nothing like that.

As for the dirty Scousers, they'll mess up their transfers as usual.

This was the worst quote:

If it's true Henry is leaving, then the reason why I became an Arsenal fan just walked out the door.

Sad day

I know we have fanboys on this board, but it's plain that they are only here for Ronaldo. They don't really claim to be United fans. This guy is just a joke, and was rightly ripped into by the real Arsenal fans.

He/she is certainly better than fans who support clubs because they like their jersey colours.
anyway,he does not live in the u.k ,so it is safe to presume he/she did not have a direct link with arsenal to become a fan.so what are the other reasons you can become a fan.
1)maybe fancy and attractive football but henry was a major part of it too.so his statement is indirectly correct.
2)maybe because of winning championships.again by the above agrument his statement is indirectly correct.

or maybe henry was his/her favourite player and he saw him playing for france and then began to follow arsenal to watch henry and became a true club fan and now he supports the club whether henry is there or not.

there is always a starting attraction towards something, like you begin dating a girl becauseof her beatiful eyes and become so involved with her that you do not care whethet her eyes was so good or not.but then you find out she wore lenses and you still continue to love her,so would that be disgraceful.

i am sure many not english united fans began supporting united because of becks and they still support us are they wrong?

If you only 'support' a team because of one player, and say you will stop supporting that team when that player leaves, then you're not a real fan of that team at all. You're just a fanboy

absolutelty agree with you.
but i am saying if somebody starts supporting somebody because of a player but remains inspite of this player leaving then he i as much of a real fan as annybody
else.
