I heard he's a loan. I assume you have an option to buy?

Somehow, no one over here seems to know about that.
Don't you find that just the least bit strange? Especially since VfB have not kept secrets about who they have been after this off-season?
Hell, I've even seen "kicker" refer to rumors that HSV's Sanogo might be a backup plan as a backup striker, but not one word on Bravo. Not even a story from "Bild..."
Not one word about this guy from the German press or VfB.
Dude, you know, like maybe, just perhaps, "Bravo to Stuttgart" just might not be true?
Just throwing that out there.

He joins VfB on loan from Spanish club Real Zaragoza and Stuttgart will have the option to make the loan deal permanent for their new number nine next summer.
correctimundo. :)

With these signings it seems clear that VfB is determined to make the finals of the Copa America next time around ha ha...
Hell, as a United States (and thereby CONCACAF) fan, I am happy to see teams in UEFA recognize that there in fact, ARE high quality players in our region.
Especially in my favorite league, the Bundesliga.

Um, exactly what "signings" are you talking about here? Ewerthon is Brazilian. Not our region.

i think he means 'the americas' seeing as the guy is from the states..i think
but then ewerthon is brazilian(s american, he was born in sao paulo) rather than central or north american and considering he's played in europe for the last 6 years, including 4 years at BVB, he wasn't exactly difficult to recognise for a bundesliga team...:o

Hello Schwaben from around the world :)
Wanted to ask how our MVP Gledson from last year is doing with his new team. If it wasnt for him we wouldnt be in 1. BL now. Whenever he missed a game our D looked like a "Hühnerhaufen", or like americans say, organized as a chinese fire drill. :D He sometimes makes some risky tackles but hes a very dynamic player.

Thank you for assuming that I am a total moron, but no, I realize that there are in fact other countries in the region..and that the United States is not the same as the Americas....
What I was trying to make a joke about (and obviously failed) is that the team that has Osario and Pardo was apparently also looking at Omar Bravo. This would place three of the "major" players of the Mexican national team on VfB Stuttgart at the same time. Mexico just finished the Copa America by winning the third place match (Bravo scored a goal actually) and the joke had to do with the fact that Stuttgart seems to be transforming itself into the Mexican national team. Which is fine by me, because, they're good.
That's all.

I thought you meant the Bravo thing, but I wanted to be sure. I wasn't assuming you are a "moron", I just DIDN'T WANT TO ASSUME that you were making fun of the Bravo thing.......

you started your 'joke' by saying these signings when bravo hasn't signed for stuttgart and may not sign for them at all. am i suppose to deduce when you word it like that you're talking about a player that isn't even at the club....?
with gomez, cacau and now ewerthon on the books the chances are bravo won't be a target now anyway.
as for him being a 'major' player for mexico, that's highly debatable especially now with the emergence of cacho and nery castillo finally deciding his future is with mexico and actually turning up for once.
bravo started 2 games at the copa. guess which ones? yep, the ones that didnt matter. the group game against chile after they'd already qualified and the 3rd place play off. he appeared as a sub in the others. a good squad player yes, but one of their major players...? maybe before but not now.
i do apologise for not getting your joke. maybe i was too dense to see it.
cheers

The key for me is Pardo.
If he plays as good as last season you play again
for direct CL quali and maybe again for the title.

I don't think Bravo was ever a "target." I think the Mexican press takes a page from the English press in this case......

Stuttgart to improve ground
Following its 1.Bundesliga title, won at the weekend, VfB Stuttgart president Erwin Staudt has said that the club will turn its Gottlieb-Daimler stadium into a "true stadium" by getting rid of the athletics track around the
pitch. The project is estimated to cost EUR70m and will bring the stands closer to the pitch. Work is due to start next year.

someone a while back like two days after the season ended posted this comment? i was wondering if anyone knew any truths to it? because if it was turned into n all football stadium that would be AMAZING!

It'd sure be sweet to see the stadium anywhere near modern (esp. without the track)...well, gotta love the Cold War era aesthetic!
I hate to make myself a "long-time listener, first-time caller", but I'm just starting to post on BigSoccer. I was able to attend a handful of matches at GDS in 06-07 and hope to attend many more in the upcoming season!
I'll be looking to participate more and more on the boards, and look forward to some great talk as the season ramps up.
Cheers!

To me too. Especially when they refused to cough up as much for Ewerthon......
Maybe this kid is that good. I can't say. I really don't know him.
