So after talking about it a bit in other threads, I'm wondering if you ProEvo addicts will come out of the closet, and tell us your Master league Lineups?
It's year 5 for me, I'm coming off my 4th straight Premiership title and my first Champions League trophy with the Gunners, and I (GULP) just sold Henry to Barcelona.
My XI:
-------------Howard
-----Toure-------Christian Zapata
Eboue--------------------------Marveaux
-----------------Mascherano
---------Cesc
Barnetta
------------------------------Walcott
-----------Babel
----------------------Adebayor
Subs:
Aissati
De Guzman
Hoyte
Gilberto Silva
Baines
Khumalo
Almunia
Gallas
Vrancic
Who you running out?

What exactly is the deal with the master league? Is it like a superleague? I'm not really clear as I've just gotten Pro Evo.

master league is where you pick a team and they put you in a lower division of league A, B, C, or D (or 1, 2, 3, 4 if you go with numbers) they randomly assign teams to each league. you then play a season against your league teams and there is a cup for each league that has teams from both levels. if you win your lower division you go to the top division and if you win that one you qualify for "europe" which is matches against teams in the other leagues.
if that makes any sense!
you can start with the actual roster of each team, or you can start with a bunch of nobodies and train them to be great (although other teams have the real players, so you can buy real players from other teams)

True, but if you get enough points and unlock Master League starting point, then you can make it so that you're in your correct league to start. So In my league, A is the Premiership, B is La Liga, C is Il Calcio and D is the best teams from the rest of UEFA (Bayern, PSV, Porto, Dynamo Kiev etc.) .
That way when you qualify from your league, the Champions League ends up pretty accurate. In my last group play, I played Valencia, Roma, and Galatasaray, then beat PSV, Chelsea, and Real Madrid to win the title.
It's a blast b/c it has the transfer window and summer signings, etc. Also, you can (which is what I do) try to find the diamond in the rough players that with playing time and experience can become great players. Thats what happened to Marveaux and De Guzman for me.

You schedule your own preseason matches. So if you don't wanna play any, just dont schedule them! Personally, I like to get 2 games in to try out my new signings before it actually starts to count.

hmmm, i may have to try that.
i thought it automatically scheduled them. maybe i was accidently hitting the button to "auto-schedule" and I didn't even know it.
first time I played my Manc buddy in WE8 he got a red card in the first 3 minutes because the controls are different then FIFA. it was pretty funny. he then turned the game off after I was up 5-0 in like 20 minutes.

I know in the older PES you get experience points for playing offseason games (thus making your players better). Setting them to 5 minutes usually takes care of the boredom.

Not my Master League XI but the formation I play when I have tournaments with my mates. The "Kolo Cannon" shot has been the downfall of many, I scored from the edge of the centre circle with one of Toure's master-blasters once....

Im in season 2011 now. Looks a very strange formation but to be honest I saw it in me mates Piggyback guide and I said id give it a shot. Its quite effective with the two wide players getting a lot of goals with Aguero and Nasri/Van Persie getting a lot of assists. If down the middle doesnt work then it is equally effective to attack down the flanks with the wing backs on full attack. Strangely enough Djourou scores a lot of goals coming in on rebounds from the keeper and from late runs into the box.
Im also on the Wenger mode picking up 18yr olds such as the versatile Cocu and Cafu....I have a good eye for talent :p
And just a funny side note...ive never had anyone hit the crossbar as often as Babel has (who I had before all the hype about him on the board  )

Interesting formation. Is that from Master League development or from stats as programmed in? I love Cesc, but he's a little bit underrated at first to use.
I play ML with Ajax :o , since Arsenal was a little too good - wanted more of a challenge. I've been trying to buy Fabregas forever, but I'm unable.

That's just from me tinkering about with the formation now and again, just using the regular stats. I used to play 4-4-2 and push the wingers right up but I felt my CMs were a bit underused so I changed to that. Plus, I wanted to utilise the Kolo Cannon more than the odd forage forward from CB :D
My new formation (sans Henry) looks like this:
http://img.photoamp.com/pa/07/07/01/80iVh.JPG
Push RvP up as far as poss as a midfielder, and the directional arrows means he drops back into midfield to pick up the ball and shoot, while making forward runs while other players have it. Lots of overlapping, seriously when I play my friends I have 20 odd shots a game, they don't have more than 6, and they are good players. The only problem is the finishing, half my players bottle it in front of goal, and if the opposition has a good keeper it ends up 1 or 2-0 at best!
Hleb is an absolute monster on the game...dribble accuracy 92! If he was like that in real life there would be nothing to moan about. Cesc is pretty underrated on default stats though.

Does anyone know who Lon Paerra is in real life?

I hate to break it to you...he's not real. The game automatically creates players with the same stats as certain players, just with different names - even in "use real names" games. Same as the amazing Mardenzaro.
I actually Wiki'd him...

Ah, interesting. I thought players were created only as reincarnations of older players....but thinking about it now, I'm not sure why I originally was sure of that.

When I found out about the news, I sold Henry immediately (to Lyon), and picked up the two strikers that I wish replaced our all-time top scorer.
Here's my winning eleven:
------------Lehmann--------------
Eboue---Toure----Senderos---Gallas
-----------Rosicky--------------
Ljunberg----Fabregras-----Ribery
------Tevez-----Torres-----------
I also have:
Nakamura (Celtic)
Adebayor
RVP
Clichy
Cygan
Hoyte
Diaby
Walcott
Alumnia
Nguyen (PSV Eidenhoven)

I am so into this game, although I showed you my 11 so far, that's only half the story.
I actually have 4 different preferred lineups. The one I posted is my stock formation, but depending on the tournament I play different teams.
