really bad match, but we still managed to get the equaliser when playing shit the whole match...and with 10 men for a lot of it :D

Heiko Butscher...is really proving to be the best player we've bought for quite some time.

sorry Gunes...HEIKO BUTSCHER FUSSBALL GOTT

tomorrow against Hamburg, 2nd round DFB cup...Would be nice to see how we stand against the big boys!

my heart says a 0:1 auswaertssieg...but my brain says a loss :p

Good fight, but it wasn't enough (like Gladbach in Munich) in the end.

Isn't it crap that 2nd league teams have to play top teams from the 1st league away?

Still no comment from Kyle. Well, then let this thread die...

I thjnk it'd be nice if all DBF Pokal games were the lower division games had the homefield automatically.

What are your thoughts on SCF getting promoted? Looks like 'Gladbach might have a chance?

I think that both teams have good chances to make it. Have to admit that I didn't expect your guys to be so strong again this season...

yeah yer definately right...I think it's very unfair that we and other lower teams have to play the bigger boys in their home for the DFB Pokal...
But hey, i'm watching Hamburg right now and the commentator seems to be saying that Freiburg played very well, and it was a very tough match for Hamburg...I saw the highlights, we scored a beautiful goal and seemed to have a fairly big, fanatical away crowd.

Very good for Freiburg all the way to Hamburg on a wednesday night!

and i'm with you here Uwe, even i'm surprized that the team has been so strong...I really didn't know what to expect this season with such a new team (including a change in coach of the last 16 years)
I think we can definately be promoted, and it's a beautiful thing to imagine but theres still a lot of the season left to be played...The main question is if we can beat the bigger teams like your Fürth and Gladbach and then also stay consistent with this form.

Uwe I know you want Fürth and 'Gladbach promoted, what other team would you like see go up?

I wouldn't mind if it's going to be Freiburg. ;) Congrats on the home win over Koblenz!

must have been a great match!
really excited to be able to watch it tomorrow then.

Tomorrow SCF is launching scfreiburg TV....45 Canadian gives you 12 months of matches, interviews, highlights, etc...We're able to watch yesterday's match too.
Been waiting for something like this for a while.

and yes i think Freiburg could be a candidate for promotion this year...I really can feel it, but we'll know where we stand at the moment playing against Fürth next sunday...

Now Uwe, i don't know if you've noticed but our teams seem to always be doing the same things - and nobody can ever beat the other in a match...always a draw.

the next 4 matches go like this...Will be quite a test

13 So, 11.11.2007 Greuther Fürth - SC Freiburg

14 So, 25.11.2007 SC Freiburg - 1860 München

15 So, 02.12.2007 Kickers Offenbach - SC Freiburg

16 Mo, 10.12.2007 SC Freiburg - Bor. M'gladbach

terrible news...Heiko Butscher is out 3-4 weeks, Matmour is also injured too...2 of our best players gone when they're needed most

Borussia

Bad news for you, indeed. At least the best Fürth player Martin Lanig will have to miss the game on Sunday as well...

You mean Gladbach or Fürth? I suppose you mean Fürth, I'm right?

So guess what result we'll get on Sunday...;)

sportfriend

yeah of course Fürth

the last 4 matches against eachother have all been draws haven't they?
maybe somebody (hopefully US :p ) can finally take the extra 2 point prize

Borussia

More good news for you. ;) Fürth will have to replace not only playmaker Lanig but also the right winger Adlung and perhaps the Germany U21 striker Nehrig.

Borussia
10 Nov 2007, 07:00 AM
And even one more! ;)

http://www.fuerther-nachrichten.de/artikel.asp?art=724889&kat=33

At least Nehrig seems to be fit again.

Btw: The weather is awful here these days, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a half empty stadium (north curve & south curve are not roofed)...

@ Kyle

I think I won't make it to the game this afternoon. I've a little cold ... and the weather is simply too bad (cold & rainy)!

So, unfortunately no pics for you...

PS: I missed last season's clash between both teams, too (it was a Monday game, as far as I remember...)

11 Nov 2007, 01:25 AM
yeah the last game was 0:0 on monday night i think.

and ok, i told you about our injuries in the 2nd liga thread just now...my mistake, seems you guys (like always) have the same situation haha!

i've also been hearing about this terrible weather in Fürth...Somethings telling me this will be a very dull/lifeless match

Borussia

Are you still alive, dear Sportfriend?

Another top match for you on Sunday ... but obviously nobody cares about it.

sportfriend

ah i guess i started going back to the 2nd liga thread again haha.

the match was really good, but like i said...this shouldn't have happened!!
we should have won at least 2:1, Walke has to improve soon or we're gonna need to buy a keeper in the winter break.

If this team wants to be playing first liga, and then have a chance at that...We need to be able to rely on our keeper - right?

at least there was two beautiful goals scored by Uzoma (this kid is amazing...i can say kid because i think he's my age haha) and of course Pitroipa who i wish we could see for another season or 2 :(

Borussia
27 Nov 2007, 06:34 PM
So you don't like Walke? ;)
