VfL Osnabrück - SC Freiburg

Newly-promoted Osnabrück start their season with a home match against Freiburg.

"It's surely not a disadvantage to start the season at home. We want to pick up 40 points and stay in the league by all means", Osnabrück head coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz says.

Freiburg start into a new era. Volker Finke has departed after 16 years, the new head coach is called Robin Dutt.

"First of all we want to find our rhythm and play attractive and successful football. If we manage to do that we will get the necessary points as well. Maybe we can start talking about places in the standings before the winter break then", Dutt remarks.

I hope the next match will be better. There was many bad passes and mistakes.

Oh well! It was the first game and it's a new team. On friday we will win. :)

Hopefully, I'm still ticked I missed the first game of the season. But, it'd be nice if we made the Dreisamstadion a fortress this year.

shit eric you couldnt watch the match???

******** that sucks...well i was in the stadion and it was amazing even though we lost.
i wanted to ask you if you could ever hear us but i guess not now haha...we were always singing even when down by 2...a guy with the osna fans gave me a cheers for that...

well the team itself really is sloppy...they didnt start playing until the last 15 minutes and i think it will take at least maybe 6-7 matches for this team to find a rhythem....but there is such a problem right now within the fans...conspiraces and so much going on...the wir sind finke group is really causing so much trouble i think...but im sure theyd say the same about us...there seems to almost be a civil war going on...

anywas the coolest players i met on the team are robin dutt, really nice guy...henrich bencik and heiko butscher were great also.

well i'm back now and those were some of the best days of my life!

ah and i got this email form someone...it may be of use to you

----------

Hello Kyle,

my name ist Gregor , in the SC-Forum my name is angela_ferkel.

I read about your trip and it really makes me proud that there are SC-fans in far-away-areas like Canada. It is great that you took the long journey to support our team !

I heard that you can hardly watch the matches live in Canada, so this is why I send you this Email.
Maybe I have an solution for you , all you need is a high bandwidth-internet-connection (like 2 Mbit) and a
Windows Media Player. And this is how it works:

1.) Download and install the software "Sopcast" from this page:
http://sopcast.fuerzw.de/download/1.1.2/SopCast.zip

2.) Go to this internet page: http://www.myp2p.eu/

3.) In the left frame of the page you find the section 'Football' . Click beyond what belongs (Saturday, Sunday, Weekday)

4.) You see all the matches for the current day. Click on the one you want to watch.

5.) Now you see a column called "SopCast" . Click in the orange play (try several if the one you chose is not working)

6.) SopCast Application opens automatically and shows the game !!!

They dont show all matches, but it is most likely to see SC-Games on Friday and Monday.

So please try and I would be glad if you could write me back - just a few lines to know if it worked or not.

Best Regards,

Gregor from Freiburg/Germany

it was some of the best times of my life...i can't ever forget it and i wanna go back as soon as i can.

yeah next time i see ya i'll tell you all about it...theres lots of pictures too, and more coming.

and also i have a few player cards, i'll give you Daniel Schwaab....He's really proving to be a promising young player, just got selected for the U21 team and he's still 19 i think.

He's been one of our best players in these first 2 matches.

well gotta match against Augsburg away, hopefully a win :)

also any thoughts on the cup draw with HSV Kyle or anyone?

sportfriend
26 Aug 2007, 04:51 PM
well Pitroipa will finally be playing again, i can't wait..but with that, Ibertsberger is injured and won't be fit for the match...He's been one of the top players so far and will definately be missed...Not sure who will take his place, perhaps Dennis Bührer, Manuel Konrad or Dennis Aogo.

ah and HSV????
...probably another 2nd round exit for the SCF, but we'll see :D
