The three best midfielders today are Africans. The quality is undeniable. So, lesser league is not applicable to African football. Thats out the window.

Yes there are quality players in Africa, some even world class but the African leagues are lesser leagues since none of these top African players play there, and they are lacking in money and security down there.

No confederation can guarantee anything for a player, in regards to life. So thats out the window.

But they should be able to protect there players while with the squad, and if it is inherently dangerous for the players to come home and play they should schedule matches somewhere that safety can be guaranteed.

Thats something I cant argue with. I dont have the full story, and all I know is that he was with his friend. Martins should never be subjected to that, but anyone can take any footballer out any time.

You obviously don't know your history, other then from a black perspective which is fine but you really shouldn't say ignorant shit like Jews got reparations. For thousands of years we were the ************** of this world. While your people were living happily in there villages in Africa we were being exterminated by the Romans, the Muslims, the Christians, the Spanish, the Russians, etc... This is centuries, in some cases Millenia before modern day slavery began, and obviously before the holocaust which I would like to add was a good 70 years or so after slavery ended.

Believe me the pricks in high places would much rather exterminate us then you.

Its not like I go around blaming "the white man" when something goes wrong. I just dont judge Africans by the same standards. We are still ********ed up, and its going to take some time to get over. Im not saying what the jews went through was worse or less worse, but I'd rather die then go through what those slaves went through.

I am in the middle of getting an education, I read books, and all that, but I will not be brain washed into forgetting what happend. I am bettering myself, but its always hard when the odds are still against you. Im not allowed to drive a big body car, rock dreads, where certain clothes, and listen to certain music without fitting "the profile". Why should I settle for that?

What was done to my ancestors, affects my brothers and sisters now. How can I move on?

They weren't forced, actually they were asked to stay where they were and make a country together. They chose to leave under the assumption their "Muslim brothers" would take them in with open arms. This didn't happen and they were forced into refugee camps.

Aside from from Benni has stated earlier about its continued effect on Black families and self-hate, the justification for slavery and its vestiges (e.g. racism) continue on today. Racism was used to justify slavery, by stating that slaves really weren't people. Heck the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court said as much. These people, the so-called Christians, did not equate Blacks with other humans.

The economic attainment of some Black people does not change racist beliefs of others. I'm an attorney but not a week goes by without some white or hispanic woman grabbing her purse when I approach, even on a work day and I have a suit pants, a shirt and tie on. Don't get me started on trying to catch cabs. To such people, I'm not a man. I'm a niqqer.

Watch people cringe when their daughters bring home someone who looks like me. you go around the world and I guarantee the one group of people they don't want their daughters marrying are Black men.

I can't speak to it in England or in Europe as I've never been but believe me racism here continues to die a slow death. It's been proven in job statstics, housing discrimination law suits, white flight statistics, etc.

So yes, slavery in the US is dead but its justification and vestiges live on.

It goes for white people? I wouldnt be able to tell honestly. All the stats point towards Africans suffering a lot more. I think if corporate America had to choose between a Caucasian, as you described or an African as I described, I think they would choose the Caucasian.

I do try and look at it with an open mind at times. But most of the time its because you are black. I've only ever been pulled over by Caucasian cops, and I live in a black area. I drive a 98 Camry, with no tints, and on rims. I cut my dreads (and gave up expressing myself) because of this profiling none sense.

No sarcasm here, but thank for the advice. Like I said before, Im living my life, but I will never forget what this race has been through. Enjoy your vacation.
