Houston and Chivas getting chippy? Who knew?

no they're not. I'll have none of this sky is falling crap. :p
bah - I said that the minute the Argy roster was e-mailed to me (before the game). From now until 2014, they're strong favorites to win the world cup. It's scary how much firepower they have

That was one of the most obvious red cards I have seen short of taking a dump in front of the ref. "Mikey's grounded" clap clap clapclapclap

and I am falling slowly off the Gooch bandwagon

It took me 20 minutes of seeing him in person just to realize how lost and dangerous he is for me to realize that.

I think taking a dump in front of the ref would have been less obvious than that red card :)

I'd like to see who we're bringing on the backline, but I tend to agree. Getting embarassed these days was a 3-0 loss to CZE.

Yeah. It would take some act of god for us to lose 7-0, even with a less than A squad.

Wow.

That was an annoying second half. They got into a defensive posture WAAAYYYY too early, man.
well, look who is coaching them

and shock of shocks, the first sub was in the 78th minute

And more great defending by Chivas. 2-0 Houston.

You might have said, but that doesn't make it any less wrong. ;)

Sadly, it's a matter of time before Mexico scores.

Thanks for the congrats, everybody. I don't know if you could call me giddy or excited or anything like that, but this is definitely the best I've felt in a long time.

Juan Epstein drew a foul on Robinson a way back. Wait, he's Juan Epstein II, Juan Epstein III is Calen Carr.

Video game addiction as a mental disorder? (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19354827/)

I think that's a bit of a stretch.

My internet has been screwy all night, so I'm only just now able to get online.

Frankie- legend.
Bradley- good until the red card.

Just got back.

--Frankie did just enough. Bornstein though, I'm not sold. Kid looks sluh-oooow.

--We were sitting in the opposite end from Keller in the second half and good lord were his kicks bad. Every single one of them had a fairly wicked slice to it.

--Mexican fans booed every time Donovan had the ball. They were throwing shit at the refs as they left the field like THEY had just been screwed.

--Some Mexican fans were taunting us in the first half. "Dos A Cero" is a great little bomb to drop. It just pisses them off all the more.

--When they announced Donovan was MOTM, the booing was epic. I now know what it's like to play at the Rose Bowl.

--I was stunned at how much direction other players gave Gooch about his positioning. Mastroeini bitched at him good a couple of times.

--Bradley is the real thing. He disappeared for a couple of stretches, but man is he good.

waitwaitwait.

Was the card for the foul, or kicking the ball away?

Either way, that seemed harsh.

I think that's a bit of a stretch.

I dunno. There's some validity to that, in my mind.

now that's a sweet finish for Houston.
