No, I am not a Hammer, but bear with me, please: I'm doing this for a Hammer friend who is way too lazy to do the legwork for tickets to the matches HE wants to see.

On to the story: me and said friend are trying to organize a December trip to London to watch some football, and we're trying to go to home games at each of our grounds (WHL and Upton Park). Unfortunately the ones available to us are Dec 29th home to Man Utd and Jan 1st away to Arsenal. Great timing.

I'm simply trying to see if anyone can help on two things:
1) Under normal circumstances, what's the best way for two visitors to get a match ticket? Is is recommended he grabs a club membership, and if he does what are the usual chances of being able to get two as opposed to a single? Just how bad are the prices from touts?

2) Have we just been screwed by the fixturs, ie is there really no chance of getting to see either of these matches since they're big-team matchups?

Anyone with info, if you could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Your best bet would be to murder someone outsude UP tube station, on the day of the game. No one will notice: it happens all of the time:D

As I understand it club membership only entitles you to one ticket per member. TBH unless you both become members I can't see you getting a ticket for the Manure game at all or the away Arsenal game. You MIGHT be able to get a ticket in the home end at Arsenal as those glory hunters won't want to see us collect our usual 3 points off them:D The other thing to be wary of is Sky often pick Manure and Arsenal for TV games in which case the day and or time might change.

There is little touting now at UP as entry is via card, there are no tickets. Be careful of people who sell you cards as you have no idea if the game has been zapped onto the card or not.
