I don't want to sound critical, but your Group E is extremely weak, and Holland deserves a seed. Take them and put them in E, and put Ireland in Group A.

I would think Brazil and even Mexico deserve a seed as well - even moreso than Holland:p

South Africa would be a seed because it is host - as were Sth Korea and Japan in 02. Mexico got a seed last time due to it's consistency, again they reached the final 16 - the same as Holland - I think they will get a seed again - I do also think that Holland will get a seed as well though, Spain may be the team to miss out.

I understand that. I guess what I'm saying is that with Holland's absence, Brasil is by a reasonable distance the best team in that group. South Africa's designation as the seed doesn't help them do what seeds are supposed to do -advance- if two of the group's other teams are as good or better than they. And that's with my suggestion that Holland be replaced with Irelend. Keep both Brasil and Holland in that group and South Africa's seed means absolutely nothing. For South Africa's position as a seed to have any effect, the group would have to be laughably weak, and it might create two Groups of Death elsewhere.

I agree with you about Spain. But they'll put a hurtin' on some team at one of these Cups. I keep worrying about that, and they never seem to deliver (I was rabidly supporting them against France, because France seems to be Brasil's bogeyman a la USA-Mexico).
