.. Club Sport Cartagines. Guima seemed to be headed to coach the Honduran Nat Team but ended up back in Costa Rica. The 4th most popular team in the nation and one of the big 4 hasn't won a single national title for the past 62 years due to a witchcraft! or at least thats their excuse.
Cartago did win a Concacaf Champions Cup in the early 90s.
Well this is good news for the Costa Rica football, increases the level of competition. The next season is gearing up to be a good one. Saprissa with the new economic influx is bringing some good players; Alajuela also made some new signings including an argentinian who used to played for River Plate; Cartago has also made a big effort to improve their roster, the Uruguayan Cancela who was the player for Saprissa last year is headed to play with them; finally Heredia, well not too much to say about them, they ahve been in a bad situation for sometime now, poor results and the suicide of their starting goalkeeper last year cut the improvement they were showing.
