Portugal?
Are you guys ********ing nuts, we are brining a team full of u-19 and u-21 reserves mostly from our second division, only 3/4 top quality players at most.
Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Mexico.
Canada maybe as an outsider, Nigeria as well.

Lol Poland over South Korea? Poland that lost 1-4 against the mighty Austrians? Please. Korea's B squad yesterday just toyed with Czech Republic, who by the way beat Poland 2-0 during the qualifiers. Only reason Poland got to qualify for this tournament was because they got one lucky win against Belgium's D squad. To add on that, they got a chance to play the qualifiers solely based on the fact that they hosted the thing. Poland couldn't even get past the qualifying stage of the tournament. Korea, however, came third after losing on penalties during the semifinal against Japan. They scored a grand total of 19 goals in 6 games while conceding just 3. This is also a team that has been very hot of late, beating Mexico's B squad 2-0, Costa Rica's full squad 3-2, and Czech's full squad 1-0. As mentioned, the Mexico and Czech games were played with a second string team. I don't know a whole lot about the USA team other than the fact that they are a growing team with players full of potential like the much mentioned Freddy Adu, but I question their consistency when I see them having trouble beating the likes of Guatemala. I guess Brazil is just Brazil.
North Korea being last place is highly unrealistic as well. Panama, like Poland, barely got through their tournament, qualifying with a -4 goal differential. I'm sure Czech Republic, like many other eastern European nations, have strong and quick attackers and a very stable midfield. But what they also have is their terribly weak defense that allowed 6 goals and in just 4 matches during their qualifiers. This really showed yesterday when they crumbled down at every single one of S.Korea's attack. If they couldn't stop S.Koreans, I have my doubts they will have an answer to North Korea's attacks which I would rate to be around the same level as their fellow brothers from the South. The team's forward and the qualifiers' MVP Kim Kumil is a true master when it comes to creating attacks out of nothing and is also a very good finisher as well--netting in 4 goals in 6 qualifying games. North Korea won the AFC Youth Championship to qualify for this tournament and are on a huge winning streak. I genuinely expect this streak to last for few more games, especially when they only meet the Argentines, the already expected 1st place team, in their last leg.
Both Koreas cruised through their qualifiers until they met Japan, who you also seem to underate but is a strong case to qualify. I'm not going to be ignorant making unnecessary predictions, but mark my words, both Koreas are battling for a second position in their group and with some luck in their side, I could see them even finishing 1st although with Brazil and Argentina in their groups I guess it would very unlikely. Anyhow, what I'm trying to say is that these two teams are on rise and have something to prove. Anyone underestimating these two teams is in for ride come July.

As much as you guys think Canada will receive the cheers for being the hosts, you guys have to remember the Korean population here in Canada. As long as we don't run into the likes of Spaniards or the Canadians (which we clearly don't in the qualifying stage), the stadium will be pretty much filled with the Red Devils, who by the way is one of the best football fans in the world, giving Koreans the crowd advantage. There's another reason not to predict Korea to be in the last place.
BTW, Canada just lost to Korea. Very controversial seeing how one Canuck expected Canada to make the finals, and Korea to be placed last in their group.

I know I'm being a homer, but you have to put the US as a contender. They do very well at the U-20 level, and beat Argentina in the last U-20 tournament if you remember.

a lot of your info on Poland is wrong, Poland actually beat Belgium 4-1 --> Belgium took out England and Serbia earlier in the competition...the loss was actually 1-0 against austria and mainly due to bad tactics....
but the most important thing you have to remember is that the Poland squad that is playing right now is not the same team that played in qualifiers, in fact half the squad is different because of injuries we had during the qualifyihng tournament....the biggest problem in qualifying was the midfield and 3/4 players are different this time around.....
also Poland's B u20 team played in a friendly tournament in south Korea earlier this year.....our B u20 team tied your A u20 team according to Korean posters on the Korean forum, and according to some of them our team should of actually won the game because of bias from the referee unfairly calling offsides on us that we would of scored on.....
anyways i am not dissing you or going to call you names, just learn more about our team before stating opinions.....
and you are right, czechs did beat our squad last year, but the czechs lost to belgium and we beat belgium...understand? each game is different my friend and all the stats dont exactly mean much, especially if you dont look and lineups, etc....
anyways good luck to your team.....
