June 18, 2007 - Mississauga’s Simeon Jackson will be back in the line-up when Canada's under-20 men's soccer team faces the Czech Republic today at Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium. The game is Canada's final tune-up before the FIFA Under-20 World Cup. Head coach Dale Mitchell said midfielders Jackson and Jaime Peters of Pickering along with forward Andrea Lombardo of Toronto, should return after missing Canada’s 4-0 win over the United States earlier this month. Jackson has been on rest order from his European club. Mitchell said he doesn’t know how many minutes Jackson will play against the Czechs. Canada meets Chile in its U-20 World Cup opener on Canada Day at BMO Field in Toronto. Canada’s 21-man tournament roster was submitted to FIFA last Friday and is expected to be released in the coming days.

Perhaps an MP made some calls to help expedite Jackson's citizenship status. Although the fact that Jackson has lived in Canada much of his life makes the entire situation ridiculous. At this point he is more Canadian than he will ever be Jamaican.

He did not dress, along with David Edgar.
