Parece que DC UNITED esta en plenas negociaciones con el representate de Juan Manuel Pena. Probablemente Pena este acompanando a Jaime Moreno muy pronto.

WOW!! that would be great for both parties, I think pena is in the twilight of his career in terms of physical state. Playing in spain can be very demanding physically. In the States especially in DC i think he could fit in great and probably stay there untill he retires. This will also give him accessibility the NT and help him become a pillar for the NT and help the younger generations assume the positions left by the current squad.:D

From United's point of view it comes down to dollars and a SI slot which I'm not sure they have. Steve Goff, the Washington Post staff writer asked Dave Kasper, DC United GM about Peņa. He said the team would monitor his progress during Copa America but no formal negotiations have been made.

Other then Erpen, the other defenders for United have crap dribbling skills. DC's defense is fairly young, but they are very physical, and fast.

DC will benefit greatly in ball possesion with Pena, and his experience, but how is his speed? Obviously, LA LIGA's pace is faster and more structured then MLS, but I haven't seen him run at full speed for awhile.

His speed is whats going to dictate whether he continues in Spain, MLS or back to Bolivia.
