Hmm that's what everyone has nowadays in Venezuela. You can go to a Movilnet, Digitel, or Movistar agent store and buy a cell phone cheap one for 50,000 bolivares. The prepaid cards will cost you from 10,15,25,50,100, thousand Bolivares.

Although Digitel uses sim card technology it will be better to go with Movilnet because they have nationwide coverage throughout all Venezuela.

Everyone in Venezuela (prepaid phone) communicates by text messages because if you dare to call someone you will get burnout your money on your account.

So when you get a message call that person in any of the local cell phone agent stores or in street with a (Buhonero) informal vendor.
