They said they would save him for the qualifiers. I think the qualifiers are more important, no?

save him? so why are they not saving pizarro farfan? why does it have to be one or the other? Solano said he wanted to play Copa America ....and he'll always play for Peru any game

The FPF hates Ñol.
That's one of the reasons Oblitas wasn't picked as la Sele's DT, because they knew el Ciego was gonna call Ñol to the NT.

This is complete bullshit, sir. Go to Terra TV and click on the Central Deportiva episode dated 14/june/2007. They interviewed Oblitas and he said that no one ever asked him to not call Solano to the NT. His exact words were "Es una COJUDEZ decir eso".
Solano is not being called at the moment most likely because he is known to divide the group with his outspoken attitude and criticism and to be honest, I don't blame Uribe for keeping him out at the moment. The group seems to be bonding and the last thing the need now is controversy.

You are right. He was never asked not to call Nol.
But there were members in the Comision Mundialista (Lander Aleman and Giacarini) who did not want him because he wanted to hire Reynoso as his assistant and call Nol to the NT. Therefore he wasn't hired.

Peru will have a good CA, the team will bond like they are now and nobody will remember Solano. Then Bembasten, Lander, and Giacarini will be happy and this episode will be like another "Reynoso not being called to the NT".

I highly doubt players like De La Haza and Herrera are going to make us forget Solano
regardless of how we do, there will be a "what if" element
just like there was when we didnt have Reynoso for the 2002 qualifiers

En lo que es el colmo de la estupidez este incompetente esta llevando 3 arqueros a la Copa por las puras huiflas.
Es bien sabido que la CONMEBOL permite llevar 2 arqueros y que en caso de que se lesione uno de ellos, se pueda llamar a un tercero adicionalmente.
El puesto de Chiquito de cerebro podia haber sido ocupado por cualquier otro mediocampista que mucha falta nos va a hacer.
Cada vez me indigna mas este pedazo de incapaz. Es como si su cerebro hubiera succionado toda la inteligencia disponible y se la dio para ser jugador. Como tecnico no le ha quedado nada, solo la soberbia... :mad:

esta cometiendo el mismo error de Autori, que no tenia jugadores para reemplazar a Pizarro, Maestri, Hidalgo, Jayo que se lesionaron/suspendieron y no pudieron jugar los partidos finales de la copa.

huviera preferido al chorri... envez que chiquito flores, nose oe Uribe la ca+g+a :mad: llevando 3 arqueros, la lesion de vargas, pero por PERU ojala que nos vaya bien en esta copa.

la copa america no sera el mundial, pero es lo maximo que hemos llegad o participado desde hace años, y kla gente se da el lujo de no apoyar a su seleccion, prefieren comprarse polos de brasil o de argentina, chesu, aca la gente celebra los goles de adriano o ronaldinho, pero los del malinga o guerrero como si nada
