I think Roddick has an excellent chance of winning. He played the best tennis of his life at Wimbledon and has won the US Open before. Federer is still the favorite though. I see no reason to bet against him.

Got a chance to watch a bit of tennis today. Federer took on some little guy called Howitt or sumthin' and beat him in 4. Federer started hot as heck and had the comms saying the usual shit about how good everything he does is. Got to admit, he did look good, great backhand. Huwitt must have heard them and took the game to him and grabbed the first set. Federer gradually wore Hiwitt down though and took the next 3 sets.
Not without a fight from Leyton Hewitt though, good scrap. :)

Had to watch a bit of the Sharapova match didn't I. She's not a bad looking chick. Had a hard time against the teenager from Ohio or somewhere. Noticed in between points the Sharapova has sprouted and nice pair of mammaries, they look good on her. The other girl, who won by the way, Had hers strapped down so tight I thought I could see nipples on her shoulder blades. Must be that bible belt thing.

Twitchy Andy Roddick (Keeps checking his testicles for some reason) is on now playing Isner, the jolly green giant. Big gert bugger with some heavy shots. Took the first set off Roddick on a tie breaker.

Meanwhile the Ities scored their second in Georgia!!!!

Well, 55th in the world beats number 5 in a slugfest of aces. Inser beats Roddick.
5th set tie break Roddick drops one serve...and that's all it takes.

Now to Top Gear.

I love the US Open. The crowd gets into it.

The crowd got into the Wlliams Clijsters game today. Seems like they were all behind Kim as she blew Williams off the court..

Good to watch and a good win, both those girls are sluggers.

I'm going to the night session tomorrow. First I will get to see Serena. Then I will see Nadal and Monfils. Can't wait to watch Rafa.

Sounds great!

Looking forward to hearing about your experience. I will only be able to see highlights tomorrow as I will be coaching during the time of the matches.

Did anyone see Djokovic challenge John McEnroe to come down from the booth and hit some balls with him? It was one of the funniest things I've seen. Novak is hilarious. Search on youtube for some of the impressions he does of other players.

Just watched the end of the Nadal match, started of really lively didn't it. Those guys are athletes and quick ones. Monfils ran outta steam first though, Nadal ground him down.
Serena phft! Never been a Williams fan (either) can't deny they're good though.

It is nice! I try to go every year. Its just 20 minutes away.

Serena's match wasn't too exciting. I'm hoping she meets Melanie in the final.

Nadal and Monfils was a lot of fun to watch. Monfils was phenomenal in the first set, but he wore down as the match went on. Rafa was just better than him at his own game. Those two might be the 2 most exciting players on tour.

If it ever stops raining I'm going to the women's final tomorrow night and the men's final on Monday. Fingers crossed for Federer and Nadal.

I've been so busy I didn't even know who is in the finals. Just googled it up.

Clijsters and Wozniacki, nice. I'm not a fan (as I've said ) of the Williams family. Mean spirited bunch and I'm tired of the way everyone tries to be PC in case they incur the mouth of Richard Williams.
That Melanie hype, Phftt!
Should be a good match,Woozies gile against Kim's crunch.

Mens, not playing until tomorrow, I can record that one.

Saw Del Potro take Nadal to his worst defeat for a long while. Is Nadal hurting or was Del Potro that good?

He impressed me and the comms.

Federer or Dokovich?

Del Potro was THAT good. I think he has an excellent chance against Federer. I'm gonna be there!

Del Potro was THAT good. I think he has an excellent chance against Federer. I'm gonna be there!I saw the first 2 sets and if it went they way it was going, then it was a short final.

Both sets, the score was close and until the final game it was only one break between them. But Del P had that look of a loser. Totally psyched out. That and Federer was on his game.

I'll be looking for more matches from Del Potro, he just needs that big win (in a final) to get his confidence up with his game.

ps. WOW! guess I shoulda googled up the score before I wrote his obituary. Guess I missed the end of the second set....and the next THREE! Wow!

Del Po is going to be around for a long time. At the age of 20 he becomes the first player to beat both Nadal and Federer in a grand slam. He is also the tallest player to win a grand slam. Never before has such a tall player been able to move so well. He is only the second man from South America to ever win the US Open. Most Argentines are clay court specialists, but Del Potro prefers the hard court.

It was a great match, and I was lucky enough to get tickets. I was cheering for Roger, but most of the crowd was behind the underdog. Roger served poorly. He only got around 50% of his first serves in, and Del Po was able to attack the 2nd serve with his incredible forehand.
