INTERNATIONAL HITMAN LANDS AT OAKWELL
BARNSLEY Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Peru international striker Miguel Ángel Mostto Fernández-Prada.
The 29-year-old, who prefers to be known simply as Miguel Mostto, has agreed a two-year contract with a further one-year option in favour of the Club and will officially complete his switch from Peruvian Primera Division side Cienciano on July 1, 2007, for a substantial transfer fee.
Born in Ica, Peru, Miguel hit the goal trail with Coronel Bolognesi, bagging 26 goals in 78 games before joining title hopefuls Cienciano in 2004. His strike rate for Cienciano has been phenomenal over the last four seasons with 59 goals in just 134 games. Miguel topped the Peruvian goalscoring charts at the end of the 2005 and 2006 campaigns.
He won his first international cap in February 2003 and has gone on to play ten times for Peru, netting one goal. Miguel has been named in the Peru squad for this summer's Copa America.
Miguel has today agreed his switch to Oakwell after passing his medical although the transfer is still subject to receiving international clearance and a successful work permit application.

REDS BREAK THE BANK FOR MOSTTO
BARNSLEY'S capture of Peruvian international striker Miguel Ángel Mostto Fernández-Prada represents the Reds' biggest transfer deal since the signing of Neil Shipperley during the 1999/2000 campaign.
The Reds have paid an undisclosed six-figure sum to Peruvian side Cienciano, with Miguel officially joining the Club on July 1, subject to international clearance and a successful work permit application. Barnsley splashed out £700,000 in July 1999 to sign Shipperley from Nottingham Forest.

2nd division overall in England. 1st division if you count the EPL as some kind of superleague.
Yeah, Setanta has the rights for the Coca-Cola League Championship. Mostro on Setanta  :D

Mostto should have gone to Hannover when he had the chance:rolleyes: , but still, 1st division has an amazing level of competition. What I like about that league is that they play really rough and at an amazing pace.
Hopefully he'll open up room for peruchos in England, just like Nobby has done.

Hannover was never really gonna happen. It was all a game by Don Fanfanal.
