Although it is about a year too late for the WC, I am pumped to see that my Thursday night MLS viewing will now be available in HD. I live in Bergen County where Time Warner's offerings are pretty much the same as in Manhattan. For the first time today, I saw an ESPN2HD channel--something I had been anxiously awaiting since reading that a deal had been done between ESPN and TW. So for any of you who lamented that games on ESPN2 were in HD, but your cable provider didn't carry it in HD, double check.

this reminds me. I spoke to a guy from TW this weekend who told me GolTV would be available "soon" as part of some extra pay package. Anybody hear any details about this?

Would be nice if Cablevision followed suit. :(

Whoa. I have not heard this. I would be pumped for that.

I'd kill for that. I mean it, I'd actually kill someone.

Course it would also be nice if the RBNY games were filmed in HD so I could take full advantage of MSGHD.

Here in Binghamton we still don't have ESPN2 HD on TWC, we get ESPNHD, but not ESPN2HD. Go less than 30 miles and the TW there offers not only ESPN2 HD, but SNNYHD and about 4 other HD channels.

Both are TWC, but for some reason they stiff us.

I just noticed the realignment of the HD channels last night, plus the fact that I get ESPNHD without paying an extra fee now. GolTV would be cool, but if they could find a way to also get us Setanta, THAT would be sweet.

I think some RBNY games on MSG are in HD, though I could be mistaken. MSG has the gear, since Rangers and Knicks home games are in HD. It's not until September that they've got another home game on MSG, though, so I can't verify that.

Oh man, time to kiss my social life goodbye.
