The G's host San Jose this Wed. night. Let's try to keep this civilized please.

LA will be missing Cien (suspension), Vagenas (injury), Simon & Califf (Confed Cup), and possibly Hong (injury?).

Quakes missing Landon to Confed Cup and an injury list to match ours.

As it turns out, with Ricky Lewis playing credibly, we seemed OK in defense. It is the completely unnecessary loss of Cien that worries me more.

What do we know about the injury to Hong? Marshall looked like he might be coming around and could play Wednesday.

And with Waibel, Mullin and Ching all coming to town for the first time, we need to start practicing our "Galaxy Reject clap clap clap-clap-clap" chants.

Ching is also out with an injury and will not be playing.

I'm sure Mullan will be "devastated" to hear the "Galaxy Reject" chant. He leads the first-place Quakes with 3 goals and 3 assists, including 1 goal and 1 assist this past weekend against the Dallas Burn. Meanwhile Albright has 1 assist and Glinton has 1 goal. I talked to Mullan after the last Quakes-Galaxy game and he said he loves playing for Yallop and the Quakes. He said the team really works hard for each other.

Waibel? He's a yellow card waiting to happen but he has played solidly at times.

It should be a good game. I will miss my first HDC game because I will be on a plane somewhere over the pacific on my way to Guam. What a rough life :-)

Ha...Ha...HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!

I predicted a win against the Rapids

I predicted a win against the Wizards

I predicted that most San Jose Fans live in run down section 8 housing and host vietnamese cat fights with the loser cat being cooked in the stir fry special the next night.

I also predict that San Jose will once again lead California in having the lowest reading comprehension amongst 6-18 year olds in the State.

And i also predict a San Jose Loss to the Great and Supreme Soccer Champions of MLS, THE LOS ANGELES GALAXY !!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. - san jose sux :(

Okay TJ, that's not cool. However you're spot on with the prediction. I feel it's going to be a close game despite missing Money Shot (LD).

Mullan will be very hungry to score a goal against his former team and how much sweeter it would be for him to do it at the HDC with LA fans razzing him? It would bring me pain if he did score.

Keep in mind that Mullan has started every game for the Quakes. The same cannot be said for Glinton or Albright who have sat out entire games this season. Of course, I'm in no way saying Albright would have Mullan's stats if he had been playing the same minutes.

Keep thinking that.

I agree. If Mullan gets 8 sitters in front of the Galaxy goal, then he's going to score one.

Actually, both Mullan and Waibel were well liked here and were victims of a numbers game. I am glad for Brian that he is finally harnessing his talent in SJ - just hope he doesn't do anything against LAG. The change of scenerey did him good, and no one begrudges him that. The "GaLAxy reject" chant is all in good fun, and its sort of traditional - not even meant to hurt their feelings particularly, but rather a way of acknowledging past service to our squad.

Let's try minutes per point analysis:

Mullan 830 minutes/9 points = 92 minutes/pt
Albright 430 minutes/2 points = 215 minutes/pt
Glinton 242 minutes/2 points = 121 minutes/pt

I know it does not really prove anything since it may be tough to get any rhythm going when your playing time is not consistent week in week out. I just thought it was interesting that Mullan appears to be flourishing in San Jose while the two who were retained in lieu of Brian have not been as statistically productive.

Having said that, I think Chris has played better recently and Gavin always provides a couple of moments of excitement per game when he makes one of his patented runs.

Having Hong will be very important. I doubt there will be any info on the Galaxy site but I'll look. When he went off after the match he had a very large ice bag and his knee was included which really doesn't tell us anything so I don't know why I mention it :). But maybe the fact he was still on the field is a good sign. Hard to say.

Only on HDtv:( It's a shame both of our teams decided to pass on showing this matchup. There's only one place in the bay area that has it and it's in the middle of nowhere.

Do what I did last week: go to a Good Guys and camp out in one of their demo rooms. Ask an occasional question of the sales people and they will leave you alone. It is NOT a BYOB occasion.

Sorry. You're right: SJ 2 - LA 1, PK in the 90th minute !! I predict this will be the best match all season to date.
