Inter buy striker Suazo from Cagliari (http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/news?slug=reu-italyintersuazo&prov=reuters&type=lgns)
Italian champions Inter Milan have signed Honduran striker David Suazo from Serie A rivals Cagliari, the president of Cagliari said on Wednesday.

"Inter have made a great buy. At Inter, Suazo will be their first choice. The rest will come after. He's a great player and a great professional," Massimo Cellino told Italian radio station Radio Radio.

Suazo joined Cagliari from Olimpia of Honduras in 1999. The Sardinian club were relegated to the second division Serie B at the end of his first season, but Suazo scored 19 goals to help them win promotion back to the top flight during the 2003-04 campaign.

Congrats to him.

Now, can he help Honduras take the next step and qualify for 2010?

Can he avoid the same fate as, say, Dwight Yorke? Starter for one of the biggest clubs in the world didn't help T&T qualify while Yorke was in his prime.

Not sure if he can do it alone, but if we can some how build a solid team around him we should be able to compete with anyone in CONCACAF. Well looks like the speculation and suspense has ended and SUAZO will have his chance to show case his skills, must be a lot of haters mad right now on this forum lol . VIVA HONDURAS

One of the greatest moments in Honduras' football right there.

Grande David! Without a doubt the greatest player the country has ever produced.

With Carlos Costly doing well at his Polish club and tearing it up for his national team to complement Suazo, they have one of concacaf's best strike tandems.

All of them except for heading, anyway.

WOW this is great I have been keeping up with this since he played the Olimpic Games in Africa. He deserves this. Let see him show his stuff in UEFA, that will be awesome.

All you guys have to patient with him being in the NT, he will be there all his goals have been accomplished and now he won't have an excuse.

Honduras will have the deadliest attack with Suazo's sprint and Costly's heading ability. It will be a extreme disappointment if the don't qualify with the rest of the supporting cast available.

Honduras will be a force to fear in the next qualifing.

So true that is certaintly not his quality, but I think if INTER USES him right he could really excell. Im going to assume INTER will probably score first and be ahead in a lot of games so assuming that teams will be forced to open up and leave some space for DAVID SUAZO to run and thats where he is at his best, all he needs is a few good feeds around midfield and its a rap.

Hopefully there will be a gew guys around here that get some humble pie, but the competion will tough with CRESPO, ADRIANO and ABRIMOVICH? ( spell check) and CRUZ but they will have a busy year so they should all get some time to play

Hopefully he represents the CONCACAF well. I think his performance will have more effect on Central American players being scouted more.

I just noticed that David Suazo only has like 17 caps with Honduras, despite being 27 years old.

Can someone tell me why he has so few appearances with Honduras, given that he's a very, very good striker? (certainly the best in CONCACAF)

Well theres a few reasons, during the 2002 world cup qualification process PAVON and "TYSON" NUNEZ were more favored then SUAZO since he was still kind of young and these guys were at there prime of there careers.

Second reason is that a lot of times his team has only allowed him to leave unless it was FIFA DATE MATCHES or if he wasnt 100% they would not let him go
