Okay, first "serious" game of the season...

KSC im Ligapokal gegen Schalke

Am 21. Juli bestreitet der KSC das erste Pflichtspiel aller Profi-Teams. Nach dem Sommerurlaub startet die Mannschaft als Zweitligameister im "Premiere-Ligapokal" und bekommt es gleich mit Schalke 04 zu tun. Anpfiff in der Düsseldorfer "LTU Arena" ist um 15.30 Uhr.

Zum elften Mal macht das Mini-Turnier "Liga-Cup" mit sechs Teilnehmern Lust auf den folgenden Bundesliga-Start. Neben den ersten vier der Bundesliga-Tabelle und dem Pokalsieger nimmt in diesem Jahr erstmals der Meister der zweiten Bundesliga am Wettbewerb teil. Das Duell gegen Schalke 04 (21. Juli, 15.30 Uhr, "LTU Arena" Düsseldorf ist für den KSC auch finanziell interessant: Rund 300.000 Euro klimpern als Startgeld in die Vereinskasse.

Sollte der KSC die erste Runde überstehen, wartet im Halbfinale Pokalsieger Nürnberg (24. Juli, 20.30 Uhr, Nürnberg). Neben dem KSC, Schalke, Nürnberg und Werder Bremen stehen noch der VfB Stuttgart und Bayern München im Teilnehmerfeld. Das Finale steigt am 28. Juli, 18 Uhr, in Leipzig.

i have a lot of family in karlsruhe.
my uncle always wanted me to be a KSC fan. i was never a huge fan, but i really dont mind them. hopefully they do good.

Karlsruh is really the only other Club that I have a softspot for! My Cousin is from there and a passionate KSC Fan, so Ive been goign to the Wildpark once every while since the good old days in the mid 90s...
Great to see them developing so well! The club as well as the Fanscene which I would definitely count to the upper 3rd of the Bundesliga next season!

According to kicker, that deal is done. He's playing for KSC next season. Kicker says the clubs vying for his signature were KSC, Bielefeld and TSG Hoffenheim. No mention of any dealings with Bursaspor.

i just saw on a forum of Bursaspor...a picture of a turkish news article with Iashvili's picture...it seemed to suggest it was a done deal, he's going to Bursa...but we shall see.

i don't know anymore
