Against Rostock, I thought KSC had some good chances, but poor finishing did them in. I thought KSC would have put 3 or 4 on Rostock like tino said.

Yup, that is pretty bad. We'll see how they cope now.

It seems they coped very well. Clean sheet victory against Duisburg ... and spot 4 again! Kudos!

I said I would be happy with 25 points before Christmas, now I want 30 :)
We are still having trouble up-front, need a hitman in the transfer window.
EDIT: Maybe Bayern will let Podolski out on loan........... :p

baden represent!!! it's just unbelieveable what the boys in blue are putting up this year. I just wish they'd get their killer-instinct back in front of the goal/in the box.

It's not as if it will last though. KSC are certainly too good to fall into the relegation battle, but I doubt they'll be able to remain in ther European spots for much longer - if you look at their last 4 games or so, it seems their early form is starting to fail them a little, as one could expect.
Still I must admit, unfortunately, that for a newly-promoted side they are exceeding all expectations for this season, and in that sense, compliments are due to them.

I agree, I don't expect Karlsruhe to battle w/ teams like Schalke, VfB or Leverkusen about the Uefa-starting sports. But still how they came back against Hertha was impressive after being one down after first half.
But against FC Energie Cottbus their performance was very poor. They weren't tight on the oponent, not running hard enough to get into the fight for possession. Very bad. I assume they underestimated Cottbus a lot. I hope they will get back on their feet to face Bochum next weekend.

Totally disagree. The only team I really worry about is FC Bayern. We just have to keep everyone healthy. And now with Kennedy playing, things are looking up even more! I see a Uefa spot for us next year!

Message From The "Ballack" Thread.....
That's right. Aren't a lot of your players leaving this summer??
Possibly. Im just hoping its a rumour. What worries me is that since we signed Kennedy, hes been scoring most of the points. Which is good but where the hell is everyone else Timm, Freis, Mutzel, Porcello...
Im just hoping we stay in topflite in 2009. As far as heart break... I dont think Newcastle has anything on us!
Well, Hajnal (Dortmund) and Eggimann (Hannover) are already surely leaving. From everything I see, Bayern is going to call Goerlitz back, but I think you guys have a shot to get him back as Bayern are still loaded at the fullback positions.
Someone is probably going to come after Maik Franz too. I hope you guys can hang on to him at least.
I am a BVB fan, but I love having KSC in the league.

Didn't Franz resign till 2011 a while ago?

And? What does that mean if a bigger club is willing to pay KSC enough for him??
KSC has admitted that every one of their players has a price.

Andreas Görlitz will miss the start of the season after tearing ligaments in his left ankle. He is having surgery today according to this kicker.de (http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/artikel/212004) article.
The article also discusses the ongoing stadium dispute. This article says that now it is possible that the current Wildparkstadion will be acquired by the University and a new stadium could be built for KSC out on Autobahn 5.
I'd love that solution. I know I love the convenience of the Allianz Arena being right off Autobahn 9.

I was just at Wildpark last month watching a training session. The stadion would be good for the University and then the boys could move to a proper Bundesliga stadion! Wildpark is just too small.

too small?
i don't think 33 000 is too small...just very outdated and too open!
the guest section at least, the acoustics are really bad and even with 3000 singing fans it's hard to make a real threatening presence.

Kyle, have you ever been to that stadium? It's a shithole to say the least. The sightlines are horrible.
KSC and their fans deserve better.
And yes, it is "too small". Who told you it was 33,000? According to the latest Kicker Pre-Season magazine, capacity at Wildparkstadion is 29,699. And it is a very "tight" 29,699.
Again, KSC and their fans deserve better.

Yes too small! When you have Universities playing in larger Stadions, a Bundesliga side, especially in topflight, need to move to a larger Stadion. 29,000 seats is not enough. Just look at ticket sales last year.

Doesn't look good for the KSC right now. They have imposters playing striker at that club, Joshua Kennedy, Freis, Kapllani...

Dude, from what I saw against us, KSC's major problem is they just aren't getting much from that midfield.
Sure, Kennedy, Freis and Kapllani aren't the best strikers, but if they were getting any midfield service, they'd be much better.
Just ask Leverkusen. KSC put three past them after spotting Leverkusen a 3-0 lead.
I think they were a bit unlucky against us. I think they would have deserved the draw with their second half performance.
I hope we sell Giovanni Federico back to KSC in January and he becomes the player they need to save themselves.
I think Becker knows how to get the best out of Federico and will do it if Federico returns.
Whereas in Dortmund, I think Federico showed his potential last season, but Doll crushed his spirit simply because Federico doesn't play more like Valdez and Doll needed a scapegoat for his own tactical failures as a coach.
Federico just doesn't fit into Klopp's system because he isn't a strong defensive player.
But I think Federico can help KSC. Porcello, Federico and Kapllani were a scoring machine for KSC in the 2nd Bundesliga two seasons ago.
And Federico proved to himself last season that he can be an effective 1st Bundesliga player.
If Federico returns, perhaps they can do enough in the second half of the season to save KSC.
Oh, and I also believe KSC loses some of their fighting spirit when Maik Franz isn't on the field. Even though that didn't show in the second half of this past Friday's match.
