After watching the Us/Guatemala game at Pizza Hut Park, the Gold Cup US/Guatemala game on ESPN2, and countless FC Dallas games, I've come to a conclusion:

Carlos Ruiz is useless. Never have I seen a more lazy, selfish and downright mindless player.

Okay, I take that back....let me throw in Chris Gbandi (minus spectacular goal) and former FC Dallas forward Eddie Johnson. I throw Eddie under the bus because whilst he was here, he hardly ever made runs, and frequesntly lost the ball due to unsteady situational awareness. He does the same thing now with the USMNT. Carlos falls, is lazy and useless even with the Guats. Him, and Demarcus Beasley. Lazy and useless. Eddie's goals in KC have been "right place right time" goals...he never creates. He lets his teammates do the work.

Two cents. Discuss.

Toja did a magnificent job against the Galaxy. That's what FC needs...a midfielder who actually PLAYS like a midfielder. Now, if we could only find dependable goal scorers on the front line, and consistency on the back line.

Thanks for your time.

WOW. I have never seen anyone just come out and ask for multiple neg-reps from every person on a particular board. Impressive.

I'll take two cents. I need all the money I can get these days. Reminds me of the time I found money on the street. Anyone else ever found money on the street?

Was he useless when he scored the goal that brought them level with TnT last night?

I got fired on my first ever job (Taco Bell) for stealing money out of the register for cigarettes, does that count as finding money? :o

There's a certain quality to the highjacked thread that just can't be calculated.
BTW, I had a buddy that worked at a grocery store in the late 80's and he would lift $150-200 a weekend by knowing the price and tax for beer and just telling the "non-English" speaking customers what the total was without opening the drawer. I would get in trouble for not smiling while I sacked and that is what kept me from "checking" but this nutty friend culled hundreds. He even got caught and didn't get in trouble. He was truely bulletproof. We never figured it out. I almost got fired for accepting the only tip I took in 2yrs there because my neighbor from across the street dropped her dollar on the ground and refused to pick it up. She told the store mgr about her "generosity" at a party that weekend and I got called in for a big meeting. The same weekend "D" got into a screaming match with a customer where they exchanged racist slurs in front of about 200 people and nothing happened. I got no respect as a kid I guess 'cuase we was po'.
Anyone else have a cool story not about Fish being "useless"?

I have another good job story.

When I was 16, I got a job bussing tables at Applebee's. After we closed, we would have contests of who could lay on their back under the tap and dring without coming up for air. What's more, the bar manager would smoke his pot with me in the keg room. Best. Job. Ever.

wow, you're supposed to save your trump card for later.
I once worked at the "strip" in Lubbock. At the end of my first week I went with some guys I worked with to their big party of the year. One thing led to another and I end up passing out just as the party really got going. I woke up and saw a bunch of people but I had to barf so I pushed over a keg trash can (in the middle of their living room) and proceeded to stick my head and shoulders in just in case I had to puke. The next thing I remember hearing was people discussing whether to call an ambulance or not. That got my attention so I jumped up to let the now 300 or so people know that I was cool. They left me alone and I did use the trash can shortly after. I came to at 6:30AM and realized that I passed out, dumped ice all over someone's floor, puked in that can and embarassed my dumb ass in front of 300 or so total strangers! Needless to say I called the store that night to tell them I quit. I was too damn embarassed to go back.:o
