Appologies to the board. I did attempt to post an entire detailed write-up with a change or two, but apparently it didn't take and disappeared into the ether.

Dunno what happened. I did go 4-3 on the week:

Postmortem:

Thurs: DAL@2.2 - Lucky Win - Oduro scores at the literal death for DAL to steal the 3 at RSL. He went for the chance with guts and balls, crafted the exploitation with strength and balance, and rewarded his teammates with an outstanding shot and conversion of the well-earned chance. Outstading GoTW stuff. RSL deserved more form this.

Failrly predictable DAL would win, pretty much a surprise on how they did it. If anyone has a better physique than Oduro, I'm not aware of it. Doubtless we'll hear more from him, he's one to watch. Ruiz has been virtually invisible of late.

SAT: DC@1.87 - Win - DC at home is gold right now. Prices will continue to suck. Chicago away is a L and will continue to be until guys return, period.

KC@3.54 - Loss - Sometimes you are right, but the officials and the circumstances let you down. KC showed up predictably rusty - I actually mentioned this as a possibility in the post nobody saw, it's on the KC forum as well - from the 2 weeks off and were down 2-0 early. KC even overcame that until Abi Okalaja called a mystery pk at the death to allow Angel to tie the game 3-3 and consequently steal 3.54 much needed units from my bankroll. Sigh.

Tip: Even with respect to my obvious bias, more goal-centric calls go against KC than any other MLS franshise. Hardly anyone sees it as they are rarely the national game.

Going forward: KC is the unquestionably the best team right now, even shorthanded. DC might be the hottest. NY will rightly have an argument that their defense and GK and not at full roar. To beat any of the 3 will take everything at top notch. Regardless, KC controlled that game from :15 onward. The second KC decides to disregard offense, they falter a bit. When they flow forward, even with back-ups they are simply unstoppable. KC still put up 3 without EJ and with a fraction of Sealy's best. Oct 13 is the series ender at NY. It should be for the #1 spot.

Chivas@2.07 - Win - Not a tough one. Colorado has now lost 3 straight road games and 3 consecutive games overall. COL was playing its' 3 straight roadie as well. Chivas is still undefeated at home. If you saw the game you understand how dominant their defense has become all the way back to an improved El Guzano. He's been of quality since his first game, only now he has a defense in front of him most nights.

NE@1.77 - Loss - Ridiculous that NE should even have a close game, much less allow themselves to drop 2 points. Alejandro Moreno looked like an all-star. Apparently Schelleto has learned about his teammates and looked ever so much better without Hedjuk on the field. If you saw that coming, you're better than me.

Going forward, Schelleto and CLB will get points. NE will be better with their trio of stars back, later in the year. Don't risk any serious money on NE anywhere until they prove an ability to defend.

SUN: TOR@2.63 - WIN - I though the price was a gift, especially with DAL going on two days rest and playing the third game in 8 days and second roadie in 4 days. I certainly didn't expect 4-nil. Wow. It's official, BMO is easily worth a full goal and maybe more. TOR is for real. Suddenly everyone in the East looks very dangerous.

RSL@4.00 - Loss - I talked myself into chasing the price as LA is winless and RSL had been playing much better. I thought RSL had been uinlucky not to win recently. For LA, I didn't know Xavier was ready to play and he was one differece in the game. So, two errors. 1) Chasing the price on a team with exactly zero wins. 2) Dropped the ball on the homework fort LA. I deserved to lose this one. I hope you were more careful.

Overall 4-3, +1.8 units, very unlucky not to have been a much better week.
