Why do the Cuban and Chinese national teams play with the flag on their kits instead of their crests? Does this only happen when they play in the US, or is this standard procedure?

The North Korean Women's side also had a flag on their shirts rather than a crest when they played in Coffs Harbour against Australia on the weekend.

I was thinking the same thing, I don't know what that's all about. They have nice crests too. I seriously wonder why though.

I don't remember any specific team off the top of my head right now, but I'm positively sure I've seen other team kits (non-communist) with their flag on it instead of the crest.

They're protesting the poor gameplay of EA Sports' FIFA series by playing in kits that make them look like Winning Eleven's national teams.
