Wtf.....?

I thought my TIVO was fried, when the screen went dark and quiet. "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey will never be the same again.

Don't have HBO, so I've never seen an episode. All of the talk surrounding it is intriguing though.

Dude you must check it out from Blockbuster. I think that you would find it worth your while. It's very anti-establishment. Right in your wheelhouse ;)

Hey, at least they didn't pull the "all of last season was a dream" crap like Dallas did.

scuttlebutt (well some of it) around LA is that if the Soprano movie is ever made, chances greater than zero says that it would be a pre-quel (a David Chase thing); thus adding more to the longevity of the series....

IMO, the black screen, the music cutting out abruptly, all the small details in the final moments....he got popped.

Seems like one could say that about the way half the episodes ended. It's just David Chase being a prick.....as usual.

Music never cut off before while the screen went black for 5 seconds at the end of the episode.
If he lived, they would fade out the scene, maybe pull back slightly, and music would continue..."happily ever after"....IMO of course.

It's definetly a Chase thing... Do we know whatever happened to the Russians, the Jews, the Indians, the Koreans, Furio, did Adriana really get capped... etc. Chase is all bout the loose ends.

No, not that EXACT ending...but many endings left you in a state of confusion about Tony's future existence....and it always ended up being a tease.

Yeah, I want to know what happened to the Russian Interior Decorator and the Hassidim that ran the hotel. Furio went back to Italy, Gordon...we got resolution on his story.

He's still walking in Naples... I thought there would be more to the story and the Italian Connection. Remember that Furio came to the US on a deal that worked with tha broad for the cars, now that Furio is in Italy Tony's end of the bargain is gone.

Maybe it'll be like Star Wars and other authors will write books about what happened after the last episode. There should be a contest to see who can write the best "alternative final episode". Bonus points for resolving the most obscure lose ends.

What ever happened to the guy who wallpapered the bathrooms that Tony's wife fell in love with?

I don't have HBO, and have never seen this show either. I heard that the DVD will have alternate endings.

My guess is that he couldn't choose on an ending so he said, "fu<k it! Go to black!"
