While mexico is out there talking about being the "CONCACAF GIANT" teams like cuba, guadalupe, panama, honduras, el salvador etc etc... are catching up to the same skill level or maybe already at the same level as Mexico in my oppinion.Mexico is getting a scare, but the GC is not done yet. We have won a couple of relatively easy games - let's hope we can continue, keep our focus & win this thing. Still 4 more games to go, 3 of which we have to win.

The coach of the so-called concacaf giants was complaining about the condition of the grass at giants stadium (both teams played on it hugo)...will they stop at nothing...face it guys, someone has to be #1, might as well be the US:D

I went to eat at my neighborhood Mexican restaurant last night. I kind of spaced that Mexico had played earlier as I was doing stuff in the yard. I asked my waiter if indeed Mexico had played and he sighed and said "yeah." I said "they won right?" He said "nope." I was kind of half thinking he was toying with me, but his usual grin didn't show up. I said "you're serious aren't you?" He just nodded. I actually felt kind of bad for him and the other workers who are great about going back and forth over the US/Mexico rivalry. I still believe Mexico will be playing us in the final.

Bingo -- it looks like all of our knock-out round opponents will be a definite step up from our group opponents. The real test begins there, though I think it is a plus that we get to warm-up slowly and give our players plenty of rest unlike all of our potential opponents.

don't forget david suazo is NOT on this honduran roster....
top flight scorer in serie A...
add him to this attacking group and they're even stronger...
still think suazo is the best concacaf player in europe...

While mexico is out there talking about being the "CONCACAF GIANT" ...I got a kick out of a post in the Mexico forum hoping for a USA v Mexico match in the GC so that it can "finally be settled who are the true kings of Concacaf.." as, of course, when Mexico loses to the USA it doesn't settle anything.. Only Mexico wins have any meaning..:D

I was in the Mexico forums too looking to see how long Blanco's suspension is.
