can someone explain the point system they use in argentina? it appears that the points are cumalative from past seasons.
How are teams regulated to the second division? and how do the teams qualify for the south american tournaments?
it is all confusing to me but it is probaly very simple.

It's shite! It's a Machiavelic system devised by the guy who brought you Il Padrino and ruling the mAFiA. I am sore right now but the system's main appeal is the unlikely chance that Boca, River and the other biggies will get relegated.
On the other hand, you get shite teams with even more shittier support that wander and mingle about for years in Primera. I can name you several teams that put shitloads of fans in the stadium week in and week out and certainly a lot more than the average of 10 or 12 scarcely supported teams in Primera (Arsenal, Bancien, Lanushh, Argentinos, and the likes): Belgrano, Talleres, Instituto, San Martin de Tucuman, Godoy Cruz (thanks God they're staying), Gimnasia y Tiro de Salta, Juventud Antoniana.
The thing is, like the mafioso president of the AFA says it, "Todo pasa..."
