T&T B-Team is still better than most Caribbean national teams.

It was better than the Grenada team we played at the beginning of the last cycle. That team had 10 men in the box most of the game.

It was from their domestic league, all but one player. I'd say that league is on par with USL-2.

I agree with HSEU. That team was BAD. It's not their regular team, they have some kind of pay dispute going on.

If the US plays it's 'A' team they beat those guys 5-6 to nil. Easy.

Generally I'd agree, but with that Cuban linesman redefining the offsides rule I'm not sure that the result would have been that much different. The Landon to Johnson goal in the second half would have been offsides by his definition Landon was close on the final pass back he received (from Ching?) but not offsides... on the other half it would have been called off.

I think it's safe to say that second goal would have been offsides in the first half. It was far closer than the incorrect offsides in the first half. Then again, even if that linesman had called them correclty, how many would we have scored?...remember the finishing ability of EJ, Ching, and Ralston.

Having said that, we should have smoked them. This was a team made up of T&T's domestic league. We had guys who have been successful in MLS, along with a bunch from England, EPL and CCC. This may not have been our first team, but come on, our talent was far superior to T&T.

All in all, our performance was disaapointing. We won, but that's about it.

Just to make clear, I tivo'd the match, and Donovan was clearly onside on the 2nd goal. It wasn't even all the close, although it was indeed closer than the ridiculous offside calls made in the 1st half.

The general quality of the Gold Cup is enough to make you weep, we must remember that T&T was punked by El Salvador....EL SALVADOR...on its first game.

This T&T B team or whatever is the worst team I've seen in this tournament so far.

I think our top college teams could probably do some damage against that T&T team.

Canada could've probably taken them, which says it all. :D

We should have beat this team worse then 2-0. They were tired and we missed several easy goals. If we miss the same chances in COPA we will be coming home after the first round

Canada lost to Guadaloupe. At least I've heard of Trinidad and Tobago before. I thought Gaudaloupe was the patron saint of Mexico.

Guadalupe has several players in the French league/s.

This is a T&T C-squad.

If the WC squad was its top 23 players, then this one was made of players who weren't good enough for the WC.

And that team was just happy to be there, even though it included several Euro based pros (some ex-pros) like Dwight York, Kelvin Jack, Shaka Hislop, Russell Latapy, Stern John, Brent Sancho, Carlos Edwards, Dennis Lawrence, Marvin Andrews, Chris Birchall, Kenwyne Jones and MLS based Avery John and Cornell Glen.

This team had none of the above players.

It was very young and pretty much entirely home based.

It isn't a good squad.
