Back at the HDC for the second group match in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Live on FSC and TeleFutura, 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET.

And the lineup is out...

Johnson --------------------------- Ching

Feilhaber

Mapp ------------------------------------ Ralston

Clark

Spector -------------- DeMerit ---------------- Parkhurst ----------------- Simek

Keller

Not sure if the midfield will be in a diamond like that, but that's the starting eleven...

I don't know much about Simek. Does he normally play RB?

Anxious to see how Feilhaber and Mapp link up with the forwards. Potential is very good -- execution? We'll see.

Yes, Simek is a RB

Or Spector and Simek could be flopped around the other way. Wouldn't surprise me, since Spector does play at right back for West Ham.

Don't blame me, I just got them off U.S. Soccer's site in linear fashion. :)

I hate experimental lineups. They make me nervous.

What I like about two line-ups in two games is that it gives most of these guys an opportunity (you would hope) to play themselves into the third game.

Hopefully we see some inspired performances as a result.

I'd guess you're right. Spector has seen time at left back, I don't believe Simek has.

I don't understand why we're still playing Kasey Keller. Bradley has said that Howard is our number one keeper, so why aren't we playing him?

Simek will not play left back. That'll be Spector.

Because we need two keepers ready to go at any one time and since the entire back four has changed and consists of young guys it is a natural time to put the veteran keeper back there.

stupid question, babytiger, I've been waiting for the line on ussoccer's site and I couldn't find it! Very annoyed! Can you tell me where you found it? Is it right in front of my face?

Good point.

Who's gonna be Howard's backup come 2010?

Hahaha. Yep. I can't stand Dave Jonson, so it's Spanish-language TV for me.

Off topic, but did anyone watch the La Liga games that just finished. Un...be...lievable finish.
