Quartzsite??? I kept looking for Tuskin Raiders and Jawas when I stopped in that town.Seriously WTF.:D

When I made the drive it was just me and my wife and we stopped twice and I probably did avg 75 -80 the whole trip. I think ToonUSA is deep in OC though so it could be little longer for him.

Correct. And we had to stop to get gas at one point (driving a suburban) and to get food, because I was going to kill someone if I didn't eat.

6 and a bowl game if you're team does well.

If a team travels away 19-22 times how many times is it longer than 20-30 minutes on a train?

A lot. Trains aren't that fast.

For Newcastle all away games are more than 30 minutes away on the train apart from Sunderland

Maybe 20-30 minutes wasn't fair.

How many games are more than an hour or so away? By car or train?

I travel about an hour and 15 minutes for USC home games much less aways.

It's been a while since my travel agent days, but this is what I found: London (Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, West Ham and Fulham) is three to four hours. That's the same for Bolton, Wigan, Liverpool (and Everton), Birmingham (and Villa) and Blackburn. Derby and Manchester (both halves) are just under or right about three. Reading is five, Portsmouth six. These are at the short end of the time, as it varies by train (change-overs, etc). Even Boro's an hour away.

Subtract Derby, Fulham and Sunderland (for example), replacing with Bristol City, Stoke and Charlton or Watford, and it gets even longer.

But take a team like West Ham or Chelsea that has a pretty devoted travelling fan base. They don't have to go too far for a lot of their games.

Btw those stats you just rattled off shows why Newcastle fans are the best in England.

This song always makes me think of Newcastle United and our current and past situations.

Of course teams from London don't have to travel far! Chances are they're going to be playing an away match in London anyway.

I'm looking to the sky to save me
Looking for a sign of life
Looking for something to help me burn out bright

Seems appropriate because outside of divine intervention it's going to get real hairy.

Bracket time! I've talked to a couple of forum regulars and will be setting up a NUFC BS-poster NCAA bracket competition, probably through ESPN or CBS.
PM me if interested. Zinn and company can come too, if they want. :p

The US was absolutely spectacular today against Poland.

Was slightly upset that Benny only got about 8 minutes but that happens when you're getting the shaft at your club.

Jerseys looked sick as well.

Watched Holland come back from 3-0 down to beat Austria 4-3...in an Austrian bar.

Classic!
