I cheer for both teams, but I've come to notice that Bolivia is the only team in South America the Americans have yet to beat. Argentina, BRazil, Columbia, Uruguay, Chile, Peru and so on, have all been beat by the Gringos. The cool part is we've played them just as many times, if not more then our SA brothers.

The Americans are alittle stronger then before, but talent wise, they are still lagging. Physically, they are among the ellite, kind of.

What do you all think? Can Bolivia still spank them?

Dude tell me about it, I am in the military and I am always around mexicans and we always get into arguments about who is better. The fact that bolivia never lost to the US is what I always use to shut their mouths. That fact makes me very proud of Bolivia, I hope that they never lose the states. If I were to rank the US, being very objective without any bias I would say that the states is easily in the TOP 5 of the American Continent. Hopefully beating the States in a second round match could easily highlight this point again.

Realistically, at this point in our respective teams I think we would have a hard time beating the States. They have way more capped players and way more Euro based players. Not to say we wouldn't give them a good game but winning would be pretty difficult.

Currently Bolivia Has A Lot Of Talent

I Am Sure That If We Play The States Like We Did Against Ireland

We Win

We Should Be Able To Keep Our Hegemony Over The Us

Bolivia May Not Have As Much Players In Europe

But We Do Have Players That Know How To Kick And Control That Ball

If Bolivia Would Play The Us Today We Would Win

2-1

I'd think we'd tie or beat them. We got a edge on them for some reason.

I really think no one knows the answer to this question. Anyone that says so is lying. We are both two totally different teams since the last time we played.

The US is a cohesive unit that went to the World cup, has a mix of youth and vets that have been capped and are on the way up.

We're in disaray, changing coaches like underwear, bringing in 33 year old forwards, negligable defense and no clear plan for the future. I love my country as much as all of you but don't close your eyes to the deficiency that the FBF is. We need to cut off the head of the snake and move forward.

Easier said than done.

Easier said than done.

Yup. USA is very organized, especially in defense. Our defense is shaky, and our system is just starting to build momentum. The system for the US is solid, even with the coaching change.

We don't have the starters, or even depth that we had in the mid to late 90's. Sad.

come on lets be more realatic about this anywhere we play other then in Bolivia, we have a small chance and thats the fact. the games we played before was in a diffrent era, we can barely beat honduras, and lost to guatemala..Losing to the US is no disgrace, lets not be like those mexicans who think US or any team is below thier standards. The Us can easily play against any south american team and win more times than not except for the following teams

Argentina
Brazil

I would cheer for any south american team before the US...Bolivia has been doing well away as of late, they beat South Africa, tied Ireland, and tied Paraguay in Santa Cruz.

We didn't play well against those 2 teams because Bolivia had put together less then 3 practices with various different players prior to those games. Those games were a waste of time and completly pointless.

Besides, that was like 3 years ago. Pros and cons for both sides, but US may have a slight advantage with speed and organization, two very important variables for soccer. We still got more talent, but our speed and organization is what's killing our soccer.

Ok USA just lost to a paraguay which was very similar to the team we played a friendly in santa cruz, we controlled the game in santa cruz and should have won.

THIS USA in the copa would lose to our bolivia.

They outplayed Paraguay.

A lot of good that did for them. The yankis are 3 and out and going home, but who cares, I'm more concerned with my team.

Don't know if our full squad would beat their full squad, they have some quality players, and nasty speed with the younger ones.

I think if we play them in La Paz they don't have a prayer, even if we play in S.Cruz I'm confident with our chances, that being said history and the fact they've never beat means squat.

We did play them in santa cruz, back in 2000?? We tied them back then 1-1.

Yea this team lacked expreience, and couldnt finish worth crap. Taylor Twellman is crap, and Eddie J had no one to play off of. He had to go back down and get a ball himself! No one to distribute, now if the squad came that played in the gold cup... THEN we'd lose. And that team would go to the next round in the group their in. IMO..

Dont get me wrong i love the US Nats. But this team IMO wouldnt get bolivia.

Full A team squad against Full A team squad, we lose. But those are hypotheticals. I'm more focused on beating the peruvians. I have a bottle of pisco riding on it. :D

I think the match would be close to a 50-50 type game, with probally a slight edge to Bolivia with Ball controll. However, it's our defense that's going to kill it when dead ball situations come up for the USA.

And it's true, history plays no role for todays game. Both teams have been transformed.

a squad vs a squad usa would win easily just my opinion but i do think bolivia is a decent team im not trying to disrespect them as i cheer for them when they play

Bolivias defense is not doing too well. Bolivia Played Paraguay a week before the Copa, and dominated for large parts of the game. THe game ended in a draw.

Now, I know it's unfair to use paraguay as a measureing stick here since USA didn't have all their players, but it's no secret that Paraguay has a more talented team then the US, and probally would have lost by either a goal or a tie if USA had their stars.

I think The US should be able to beat Bolivia, though I wouldn't be shocked for the opposite. I believe the US is the only team that Bolivia has played more then 3 times, and have not lost to!
