German Jersey for the Euro 2008

The Bild-Zeitung published what they say is the next jersey of our NT:

It's sort of a mixture of the 1990 and the 1998 jerseys. I don't think that it's bad, but I think that the black stripe is a little too thick. But I guess that we need better pictures to see how it really looks.

I like it, it looks almost retro 80s style, but the collar looks aggressive, I like a lot. :D

Thanks for the pic. It's ovious, that the Bild Zeitung used exactly that picture for their chop.

Anyone know where I can get vintage Germany NT jerseys from World Cups past? I have no problem finding retro 1970s jerseys and even back into the 50s but I am specifically looking for 1990.

I know that problem. I wanted to get a 1990 shirt forever. I found a couple of originals at ebay during the World Cup, but they were way too expensive and mostly the totally wrong sizes.

Apart from that, there is the 1954 retro replica, that has been availiable for some time now. My only hope is that Adidas will make a 1990 replica at some point. They make one retro jersey every two years.

They did the 1978 jersey in 2004...or was it 2002? I don't remember, but I got it and it is my second favorite after the 1990 one. And they did the 1974 jersey in 2006 which is still available, but I don't think that it's very special.

Apart from that, your only option is to check out ebay every now and then and look at small and dodgy second hand shops. I met a guy once who found a German 1990 jersey at some dubious store in New York, where he got it for a bargain.

It's probably an Adidas promo! Is in it a little early for the new jerseys to start coming out??? Usually they are out just a few months before summer - NEXT summer. Or are they going to start changing them every year now instead of every two????

Probably an accident. My guess would be that some guy at the promotion event used his cell phone camera to take the picture and leaked it to the press. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't have been published that early.

I have an old t-shirt knockoff of this (without even the logo!), a jersey would obviously be much better though.

As for the "new" one, add me to the hate list. Let's hope it's not the real deal.

1978 is great - with the collar?

1994 is still my favorite.

I really disliked the USA 94 as well. My favs where the 96, the 2004 with the flag under the pits and the 2000 home and away jerseys...those were sharp. I'll probably go on the "I hate it list" too...untill it grows on me :o
