isn't it summer over there???

the first 3 weeks of june have been exceptionally hot and now the weather has changed to the opposite. it's like autumn over here and it's always a bit cooler on the islands anyway.

According to the calendar, yes ... but according to the weather, rather not.

Any news on Carlos Alberto?

There was a thunderstorm over Norderney (the German isle, wher the training camp takes place).
So it became very cold, on Monday the training needed to be interrupted,
but today the team trained the whole day.

No important news on Carlos Alberto.

It´s only a bit inconstant in Germany.
In May we had very good weather, but June was definite too cold.

It´s 10°C there, when they train in the morning.
Ok, that´s not very cold, but not normal for summer.

for us right now, 10 is what you get as a minimum during a cold day, during the day and/or night. warmer day is about 15. that's auckland of course, where winter is warmer than south island.

you aren't as cold as north america though

@ Squidward 123

You make me really curious about your location. How does it come you support Germany and a German club as a "Kiwi"? Are you maybe Wynton Rufer in disguise? :-)

C'mon, give a try and tell us some things about you in the NSR introduction thread...;)

Btw: A trip to your country would be a dream for me.

Any news on Carlos Alberto?

Brazilian media say that he will fly to Germany in the next days to clear some last details with Werder.

Edit: Fluminense Manager Branco said today in an Interview with the brazilian radio broadcaster CBN that Carlos Alberto will move to Werder Bremen!

Young colombian Werder talent John Jairo Mosquera (19) collapsed while training with Carl Zeiss Jena and had to be resuscitated by the team doctor.
He's stable now in intensive care.

I also heard.
Thatīs very curious, because in test match against Hertha he could
play 90 minutes without problems and then this at a normal training.
All the best for him, recover well.

Same here. Do they think it's his heart? That hits home with me since I'm living with a serious heart condition.

A massive talent. He played together with Diego in 2004 when they won the Champions League with FC Porto.

I think Diego came to Porto in the summer of 2004 and wasn't on that team.

Oh, i didn´t know, footy. :(

It´s not clear. He passed the heart tests at the summer medicals,
so it really couldn´t be expected.

Not too many people know. But when I see stuff like this, as I said, it hits home.

Yes, I know how those things go. Especially if it is a form of cardimyopathy. It is hard to detect and in athletes, many times it is not found until it is too late.

This gives me sad reminders of when one of my favourite players, Miklos Feher, died on the pitch from a heart attack playing for Benfica 3 years ago. :( I wish this player the best for his future :(
