If Bremen go with one striker I doubt it will be Hunt. Look for Rosenberg or Almeida. And I think Wome is a good bet for left back, especially now that Owomoyela is out for three months.

Agree, but i doubt, that we see a system with 1 striker.
Only thing i could imagine is Carlos Alberto as a support striker,
but this isn´t Schaafs plan.
And it is planed to sign a striker until the end of the transfer period.
Hunt
Currently he suffers under problems with his knee, maybe he needs an op. :(
And I think Wome is a good bet for left back, especially now that Owomoyela is out for three months.
Yes, and Owomoyelas best positions are right defender and right midfielder.
Apropos left back:
According to press Christian Schulz asked KA, if he could leave the club,
because he wants more playing time. KA replied, that he could leave if
an adequate follower can be found.
Rumors say, that Hannover and Wolfsburg are interested in signing him.
Radio Bremen and the Weserkurier just reported that the Weserstadion won't become a football-only stadium because the costs exploded from 50 Mio € to above 75 Mio € :(

I don't understand that they still want to pay €60Mio for 7000 additional seats (on a new 3rd tier), a roof and a glass-facade on only three sides.
That doesn't make sense.

I'd want him - but for next season. Right now we have Tarnat playing LB and the old man is still playing very good.
I like our defensive midfield, can't see where he could fit in there.

It´s not only the stadium, the numbers also include
costs for infrastructure, there are restrictions, because the stadium
is in a residental area, and so on.
Furthermore adding a new 3rd tier is not easy,
because of the surface, and the stadium needs new lights.
Werder has to run the stadium with a reduced capacity
during the construction (imputed costs).
I know, that 60 million € are much money for an extension,
but better to calculate all costs (imputed costs included)
than getting financial problems during such projects like
Kaiserslautern or Dortmund.

Anybody watch the Liverpool - Werder friendly?
What's the team that is going to play at the Liga Pokal against Bayern?I guess Diego and Naldo will be out cause of the Copa, will Carlos Alberto play?
He looked useful tonight.Missing the open goal was a comical moment, but better now than during the season eh?

If nobody gets injured the starting lineup against Bayern will look like this:
--------------------Wiese-----------------
Fritz------Mertesacker----Baumann---Wome
------------------Andreasen---------------
----------Frings---------------Borowski----
-----------------C. Alberto----------------
-----------Rosenberg-------H.Almeida-----

From what I can see, that answer is no.
Funny, but it seems someone (probably his agent) is trying very hard to find Schwarzer a German club.
There were totally false rumors flying that Bayern were interested too.

Sanogo sucks. I don't know why a team like Bremen would want him?
Funny. Bremen AND Stuttgart are interested. Maybe Klaus Allofs and Horst Heldt know something you obviously don't....

No. They might sign 18 year old goalie Robbert Te Loeke of FC Utrecht. He went to the training camp in Switzerland.
Bremen is interested in another Aussie though: 24 year old central defender John McKain of FCU Politehnica Timisoara of Romania.

I don´t know.
There are currently many speculations and
press connects Werder with many names:
Sanogo (HSV say, they don´t want to sell),
Jovanovic (Liege/BEL), Odemwingie (Lille),
Nilmar (Corinthians, but currently injured),
Kanu (Portsmouth), ...

I thought the word was HSV are asking too much for Sanogo? But then again, I guess that price could have very much to do with what you said......

According to Bild ( :p ) Carlos Alberto still doesn't have his registration papers from Corinthians so he is not allowed to play in official DFB match ups, like the Liga Pokal.
Nothing on kicker.de yet.

Unless I'm reading wrong, according to "Kicker", HSV just won't deal at a price lower than 3.8M. I've never heard anything about HSV saying he's not for sale.

Team today will propably look like this:
-------------------Wiese-------------------
Fritz--Mertesacker(?)--Baumann--Womé
-------------------Frings-------------------
--Andreassen------------------Borowski--
------------------D.Jensen-----------------
--Schindler-------------------Rosenberg--
Behing Mertesacker a question mark,
if he´s not 100% fit, Niemeyer propably
take his place.
subs: Niemeyer, Vander, Löning, Bischoff, Schulz, Vranjes
injured: Klasnic, Owomoyela, Pasanen, Hunt, Almeida
other competitions/holidays: Diego, Naldo, Harnik, Kruse
no registration papers: Carlos Alberto

Bayern won deservedly today. Werder ran out of gas after 20 minutes. But the first 20 minutes were pretty good imo. Especially Andreasen could earn himself a starting role.
The bad thing about losing against Bayern is that Hoeness and Rummenigge and also many of their fans are idiots.
oh well I'm going out get pissed and find myself a girl (maybe)
